My body started to burn. He could feel the sweat beading on his forehead as he drew close, the sting of the saltwater in his eyes as the droplets caught in his eyelashes on their passage down to his cheeks. “There is no pain,” she was as shocked by the development as he was. “The flames do not burn me.” He reached out carefully but could not touch the flames. They burnt as hot as dragon flame. “They do not burn me, but I can feel their heat,” he told her. “Flaming wings… That was… not what I expected.” “Me either,” she looked at him wild-eyed. “Do you suppose that I could…” “Yes,” he followed her gaze when she looked skywards. “Do it, Ember.”

His soul would be obliterated. Calix grabbed Idris's hand and summoned the biggest flame he could muster. White flames appeared in his palm like a beam of light, spreading up his arms and on his wings. He released a long spike of it directly into Idris's wrist, setting the dagger ablaze and scorching his skin.

His light grey wings came out as he took off into the air. Like that would stop her. He really was an idiot. Faye jumped up into the air as she released a powerful blast at him. It hit his front, so she threw another one which was aimed at his wings. An inhuman shriek filled the air as the Moon Fire ripped through his wings. Gravity yanked his body downwards, and it thumped against the ground with a disgusting crunching sound. Not sure what broke but did not really care either. She stalked forward and was pleased with the outcome as he tried to move backwards. But he was seriously injured.

With a flap of his wings, a terrible gust of wind blew in the starry sky and rolled back the red flames all over the sky. "Flaming Qilin, are you going to start a war?" The Immortal Master of the Winged race looked at Flaming Qilin coldly. "So what if I want to start a war?" Flaming Qilin's eyes were red, and he was full of killing intent. "You birdman, I'll kill you and roast you." Flaming Qilin raised his hand. His Red Flame Qi swept out, like several fire dragons, rushing toward the Immortal Master of the Winged race.
