“Are you apologizing?” I asked, stunned. My eyes were wide as I stared at him.
He looked around and nodded. “Yes, I suppose I am. You’re his wife, whether or not I agree with it. At first I thought you were just another star seeking gold digger, but I’ve seen you here. No one knows, and your ring is hidden.”
With that, Miles held out his hand. I stared at it for a moment before slipping mine in and officially calling a truce.
