Baxter moved aside using his reflex with his lagging heart beating and prick the sharp knife unto Nick and made a scratch over Nick's arm. He earned a kick on his hip from Nick's foot and landed on the floor. Nick tried to go over him. He rolled to the side and into Nick's failure, he jumped and his head banged on the corner of the coffee table and lost his sense. Baxter didn't miss any chance to stood up. "Sh*t." He uttered and runs upstairs to Dolora's room where he found his Mother, Jany and Ezra tied up from behind and to their feet. "Mom!" He called for their attention but they are all looking from behind him and screaming.

GRACE'S POV I was determined to prove that I was really under anesthesia and I was only imagining things, so I immediately packed the bag I recognised as an old bag of mine and left my work station. I was waiting for the elevator when someone came and stood beside me. I didn't bother turning to look since I was only being delusional. “Grace? Are you going home?” A male voice asked. I immediately turned to look at the person and I had to hold in my gasp, because standing beside me was Ethan Adams. Yes, the same Ethan who died in my timeline.

Susan screeched anxiously, fear reflected on her face. She never thought that Damian was such a good fighter. At this point, Baxter was her only hope left! However, Baxter suddenly released his bat, and it fell to the ground with a thud. Then, he raised his arms in the air and shrugged at Damian, saying, "You're really good at this, man. I admit it. I surrender! And I'm not going to get involved in this anymore!" Then, Baxter hollered at the rest of his men on the ground. "You useless pieces of shit! What are you all waiting for? Let's go!"

She said, “I’m going to set something up tonight to help you gain favor with Amber. You’re going to play the hero and she’s going to be the damsel in distress. I’ll arrange a few bodyguards for you. This is how it goes. You’ll go to Gibbous Moon Bar…” Baxter looked at her surprisingly and admiringly when he heard the full face of her plan, “That’s brutal! Want to know something? You surprise me the most.” She smiled, “Really?” Baxter said, “I’ve always said that I know women like the back of my hand, but I have to say I was completely wrong about you.” Raising her brows, she asked, “What did you think of me?”

She was sure teachers were not supposed to say that to students. Coach Baxter was a stern man and looked like the human military type with his short buzz cut and combats. He hadn’t even looked in her direction even once after that disaster, but he had given her another Omega to fight with. A boy who looked as frail as she did but kept smirking in her direction as if he thought he had already won the match.

Meanwhile, from the left, Diana saw a motorcycle coming fast as Alpha Darren started to cross the road. Without hesitation, Diana ran into the road. She hugged Alpha Darren very tightly as the motorcycle passed them, splashing a liquid that steamed up when it hit Diana's outfit. “What the hell!” shouted Alpha Darren. He felt hot and mushy as he touched Diana's back. And when he looked down, at Diana's back, he saw that his woman's back was injured. The liquid the biker had splashed on her was sulfuric acid. And it hit Diana's back. Diana winced, still able to look at Alpha Darren with a smile. “Are you okay?”

“You want a message sent to the others?” “Nah,” I say, leaning back. “Baxter dead, our shit safe, that’s message enough.” No need to mail his fingers to prove a point. My head’s already somewhere else, Davina’s face flashing behind my eyes, her body trembling on that stream. I didn’t plan to see her like that, but now it’s all I see.
