CHAPTER THIRTY-NINE. ASHANTI'S POV. Tonight I'm back in the off shoulder dress that's showing too much cleavage than it should and ends high above the region I wish it could have ended on . I am once again, almost naked and about to dance for men. Yes, you heard me right. While getting dressed, the servants announced we will be entertaining the men today by dancing for them. I can't even dance to save my life!

His eyes slowly roam across her body. “You can’t linger, move through the tables, now.” His words are louder and I see Marc tense, Daisy pushing her hand against D as he goes to jump up.

I added, “Yes?” “Can you come up with some kind of dance? I don’t want it like the Dance of Connection, I want it to be something every single person can learn regardless of rank. This will never be an exclusive pack. He smiled and started salsaing on the ground swaying his hips. Nearby children pointed and laughed as he blushed and scampered them away.

He said before holding my hand and put it above his shoulders, then he guided me towards the center, and we slowly danced together with the soft music. And while dancing, I realized who he was. He was that jerk who asked if I need company earlier. The one I ignored. And with a heavy heart because of the scene I just witnessed, I can't believe that I found myself dancing with a jerk.

Right after he said that, Dash felt that something was not right with himself. How could he almost reveal his girlfriend's identity? He originally intended to save his girlfriend's identity until the end and use it to deliver a fatal blow to Eevonne. When I dance, I feel like a fish in water. Dancing is my element. It makes me feel alive and whole. When I was a child, I took ballet classes at school. Although classical dance is beautiful, it’s not the one I enjoy. I prefer modern dance. It’s versatile, dynamic, and theatrical. I'm passionate about how expressive it is. The movements can be completely different from one piece to another. And it has a series of other details that make me love this artistic expression.

Daisy leans over and shouts in my ear, " Wanna dance?" " No, but go ahead," I answer. She pouts and shakes her head, " Please. I don't want to dance with just anybody," she gets up, extends her hand toward me, and drags me to the dance floor. Reaching the dancefloor, we move our bodies to an upbeat song. I'm smiling as we dance and have fun. The colored lights and the white foam make it better.
