“No.” Cloe pulled the blanket off the back of the sofa and put it over her knees. The apartment was quiet around them. Outside the city moved in its steady nighttime way, unmoved by any of it. “Dave has a brother,” she said. “A twenty-six year old brother who has been looking for his father for fourteen years and found an article about his father’s ex-wife instead.” She pressed her hand against her sternum. “What do I do with that.” Mac looked at her. “What do you want to do.”
