They came for me with their number, ready to tear me into pieces, and I closed my eyes, waiting for the final blow. Perhaps this is how I am going to end my life. Do you think he would’ve stopped without someone stopping him?” What Lume said made sense, even though she couldn’t shake the guilt of taking someone’s life. But she started patting along his chest, groaning in disgust at the stench and the thought that she was patting down a dead body. Since she had no idea what she was looking for, she would stop and take out whatever she felt in his pocket, holding it in her tied hand that was pretty much useless with the search.
