Decide Novels & Stories

Decisions are one of the hardest things that you will ever make in your life. They are about choosing between where you should be and where you want to be. They are those choices that change everything. Those moments when you decide to change something that you should stick by and stay committed to. You are always one decision away from a different path and a different end. I have three pairs of eyes staring back at me; what I choose to say now will definitely be one of those decisions. After several moments in silence, Isabella is the first to speak. "So out with it, soldier. What did mister hot platoon boss want?"

he said. "Yes," Adrian said. "All of them?" he said. "Yes," I said. "Even the ones who might have preferred you stayed?" he said. Adrian sat down. He looked at Noah. "Even those ones," he said. "Because the reasoning was clear." He paused. "When the reasoning is clear people can disagree with the decision but still understand it." He paused. "Understanding doesn't require agreement." Noah thought about this.

Lucian facepalmed himself in frustration. “Are you for real? What you have proposed is something I have to really rack my brain on. Ten minutes to decide my future? This is outrageous!” I complained bitterly. I didn't believe my ears. The decision I had to make concerning my future, required deep reasoning and risk-taking. Any slightest mistake now will completely soil my plans. I had to make that decision in ten minutes. “You have five minutes more.” Lucian announced. Seriously? “I may stay.” I finally said.

I mentally facepalmed myself. Anika and I didn’t raise our hands up because it was stupid, hence we were not adding to the vote, but even with our hands down, Clord, Feryt, and Gordius had already won the poll. They were the majority. 3 Vs 2. I looked at Feryt now and she shrugged, communicating to me that she wanted this argument to end as much as I did— and this was the only way. I looked away from her in my annoyance.

I tried to stop myself but I guess you must have figured out by now that I'm a pro at making bad decisions. I found myself standing by the wall, holding my breath. I just wanted to know if he was okay. That was it. I was just a concerned neighbor, nothing more. Letting out my breath, only to inhale and hold it once more, I knocked once on the wall. Just a concerned neighbor!

I hid in a shadow as I got closer and realized that it was Ruby and Midge. "What am I going to do? My parents will kill me if they find out." Midge whispered. It sounded like she had been crying. "It's not up to them. The question is, what do you want to do? It's your decision." Ruby replied. "I'm not sure yet. I need to think some more." Midge responded and Ruby nodded. "Have you talked to Shane about it? Does he know?" Ruby continued. "Not yet. Do you think I should?" Midge continued.

Instead, he should stay and try to find answers and peace. Ethan had to make a decision that would affect not only his day but also the lives of people who were connected to him. He had to decide if he wanted to go deeper into the unknown or if he should listen to Gabriel and risk more pain. His choice was the only one that mattered.

I shouted out. Before I could even make a sound, I was pulled into my dad's arms. He wrapped his arms around me and cradled me against his chest. Baby girl, it's alright; I'm here. He reassured me by stroking my hair. "What should I do, dad? What should I do?" I blinked. "You need to decide for yourself what is right and wrong; I can't tell you what is right or wrong." Perhaps you could talk to him?" He offered. After giving a deep sigh, I took a few deep breaths.

“Smoky cloud Prime, this isn’t a debate, let me die, and let Jude take-over” “NOOOO!” I shouted “James is a fighter, he is stronger and better” “Jude hold….” “No, Master Sho, you know it yourself, I am very indecisive, always scared and asking for help at all times. James is better” I interrupted, “Jude no way! It has to be you! Shutup!”

“And I wouldn’t dream of letting Dominic represent Vera. Mark will do nicely.” “Why do you get to make that decision?” Dominic asked crankily. “Shouldn’t a decision like that be left up to Vera?” Collin raised an eyebrow and gave Dominic a curious look. “It’s okay. Vera doesn’t mind, right?” “Of course not,” she said quickly. “That’s most appropriate.” “I’m glad you think so,” Collin said, setting a hand on her hair.
