Beyond Reasonable Doubt (Full Series)

Beyond Reasonable Doubt (Full Series)

I opened my laptop and pulled up my motion draft again. LEGAL STRATEGY PIVOT — SELF-DEFENSE + PANIC COVER-UP + JURISDICTION MANIPULATION Case first. Always. I typed until my fingers found a rhythm. I wrote about defense of others. About imminent threat. About Kline’s knife. About the girl going quiet. I wrote about obstruction as panic and fear of exposure, not consciousness of murder. I wrote about staged discovery, about how moving the body to the turnout created jurisdiction and probable cause that may not have existed otherwise.

YOU WILL NEVER BE MY GOD, FELIX.

YOU WILL NEVER BE MY GOD, FELIX.

I swallowed hard. "However," the Judge continued, his tone shifting almost imperceptibly, "Your lawyer has presented a compelling argument for self-defense. He has detailed a history of escalating threats, documented instances of harassment, and, crucially, painted a vivid and believable account of the events leading up to Ms. Reyna's death, emphasizing the immediate and perceived imminent danger you faced before and on the night in question."

The Wrong Woman

The Wrong Woman

"No. If you kill someone who's holding you captive in self-defense, the Norvanian government might even reward you for it." "Seriously?" Mila breathed a sigh of relief. "In Norvania, it's legal to defend yourself against intruders in your home." Mila helped Phoebe stand up and whispered, "So, that means I can defend myself against all these people." Phoebe clutched her stomach in pain and nervously eyed the door as she asked, "Mila, how many bullets do you have left?" "Just one," Mila replied. "We're in big trouble, then."

The story between Chubs and Nate got pretty dragging but I can't complaint, since I did end up loving this novel more than I thought I would. Halfway through 1088 chapters, things got more interesting and the ending was pretty good. Thanks for making the stories worth reading.

I really like the book, i've been stuck on it since i've found it .. it's just that the chapters are too short, it's basically a money grab... irritating that you can't read for at least 2-5 mins without having to pay for a new chapter.

The Return of the War Legate

The Return of the War Legate

When the chanting died down, Adrian continued, "Why is the meaning of life is to stay alive? That's because only by staying alive will we have hope and a future. Not only should we stay alive, but we should also live our lives with dignity. Nobody in the world can take away our right to live. We each have our worth. “Regardless of who it is, anyone who tries to take away our right to live is our enemy. And what do we do to our enemies? I want you all to answer me at the top of your lungs!" The crowd answered, "We team up and defeat them!" Hearing their answer, Adrian smiled. "That's right. We team up and make these people face the laws of our country for trying to take away our lives. Anyone

Science fiction: The believable impossibilities

Science fiction: The believable impossibilities

“Where did I falter? Do not think negativity blooms. Are you stating this within your limits? We need excellence of labor. We need speed. We need success that doesn’t fit in limits. We need no risks, for we worship life. We do not worship every reason, but we also do not worship the unseen, unknown divine, with all our mind. It's never with all our mind. The unheard, unknown, unconceivable, divine.” “We need to therefore worship our life, our each one’s life. No death can take it away from us. We stand tall in self-defense. I repeat: We stand tall in self-defense, of course, against disease and death. We cannot give way to destitute. We are acknowledging reasons which have never been underst

Before He Wakes

Certainly never killed a living creature. This is different, he told himself. This was self-defense, a life or death situation. Special circumstances, the usual rules don’t apply. He knew this to be true, but still that pang of guilt still twisted at his heart. “The coast is clear,” he called to Clare. “You can come on up.”

In a voice dripping with coldness and bluntness, Phil replied, "I just want to remind you that I know you killed my uncle." Liam was not fazed by Phil's words. He knew he did what he had to do to protect his abd Megan's life that day. Mr Clark was about to shoot him and he had to pull the trigger, it was either him or Mr Clark. "It was self defense, and I don't care what you think." He replied coldly.

Wolf Rachael

Wolf Rachael

"I'll recommend that the Council issue a preliminary statement. Acknowledging that some actions taken against Ghost Wolves may have been excessive. That investigations are ongoing. It's not the full vindication you want, but it's a start." A start. Better than nothing. "What about Christopher's death?" I asked. "Will I face charges?" "No," Elder James said firmly. "The evidence supports your claim of self-defense. Christopher attacked you first. Attempted to kill you. You defended yourself. That's not murder." Relief flooded through me. I hadn't realized how much I'd feared that answer until I heard it. "However," Elder Marcus added, "you should remain available for further questioning. As o
