Defiance Of The Fall Novels & Stories

The world then slowly turned from the faded blue to pitch darkness and I knew it was over. I was dead. **** My body began to fall. I knew that I should have been scared. I should have been screaming and grasping at whatever I could find to cushion the fall. But I stayed calm. If anything, it felt free. I was free. I welcomed the fall. I welcomed whatever pain that would come with it. Because I deserved it. I had failed. I could only pray that Fiona found a way to counter Willow’s magic. If not, they might not stand a chance.

Luna’s voice roared as she looked at the source of chaos, the humans. In her rage, she uttered things that although devastated her, are also relevant to prevent the situation from happening again. “You foolish creatures who have no regard for trust and are full of envy will suffer at the hands of your own people, You who succumb to your desire to be superior will fall miserably, You will live in grief and sorrow caused by your own actions, You will hide in the night of darkness in fear of your predators, And you will rue the ailment of your mistakes, for decades, centuries even, until I deemed you worthy of trust again.”

he pleaded, his voice cracking. But Lena's resolve seemed unyielding. She pushed him away, her voice filled with anguish and determination. "No! I don't want you near me. Just leave!" she cried out, her tears mingling with her words. Jayden's outstretched arms fell to his sides, defeated. He could see the pain etched on Lena's face, her tears reflecting the shattered love they once shared. He wanted to hold her, to comfort her, but she resisted his touch, pushing him away with every ounce of strength she had left.

“Sure. But this will be the last thing I handle within my responsibilities.” He knew exactly what I meant. Approve my resignation, and I’d solve the problem. Refuse, and there was nothing to discuss. “Fine. Lily, you’re really something.” He agreed through gritted teeth. Once I got his answer, I turned and walked toward the tech department. The issue at Apex Technology was complicated. A mistake in the underlying code had triggered a crash in the chain system.

His smirk was infuriatingly calm. “You think surviving the fall saves you?” he called. “The door has judged you. It doesn’t let anomalies go freely!” I glanced at Saphira. Her eyes met mine. No hesitation. Only resolve. I nodded. “Then we redefine the rules.” A thunderous crack split the air. The ridge we had clung to moments before collapsed completely. Rocks plunged into the abyss, carrying debris, water, and darkness. We leaped instinctively, catching a jutting rock, sliding across the surface, pain shooting through every joint.

"Resistance is futile, Daphne. Your pack is shattered, and your fate is sealed. Surrender now, or face a destiny far worse than death." Daphne's breath caught in her throat, and her legs wavered beneath her, but a flicker of determination ignited within her eyes. She refused to succumb to the terror and despair that threatened to consume her. Her voice quivered, but her resolve remained unyielding. "I will never surrender to the likes of you," she managed to utter, her voice trembling but filled with unwavering defiance. "My pack isn't broken yet and we will fight until our last breath."

The door suddenly closed and she pushed me to the big hole and in an instant, I fell. I fall and fall like there is no end. “Aaaahh!!!” I shouted because of the never-ending fall. I saw her watching me fall with her cold eyes and emotionless face. I keep on falling like I was falling from a very tall building. The pressure is pulling me down. I don’t know where my falling ends but this is better than getting stuck in a place full of agony and hatred. I keep on falling and falling and falling…

"Make her fall in love with you and then tell her it's a bet when she has fallen for you." The rest at the table waited for my response. "Well, I accept it. I will make her fall for me." I agreed. "But don't you ever fall in love with her." Brandon warned. "I won't, it isn't the first time we are betting, anyways." I smirked at him. I never lose a bet, the guys know that. And this one will be the same.

Jasmine went flying into the basement falling down the stairs from the drawback force. Gabriel could sense she was in trouble and bit through the pain of lifting himself up. It was as if The Almighty himself was giving him strength because the Guild member holding him down looked worried as to how he was able to move him. A blast came from the corridor blasting through the walls as if a bomb exploded. The drawback knocked the Guild off of Gabriel then, causing him to worry for Jasmine.

I grabbed some sweats from the closet then headed to the bathroom to take a shower and remove all the makeup. When I got out of the bathroom, Nick was sat at the desk with Fallen in his hands. "This is a good book," he said as he looked up from the page. "It is. You should definitely watch the movie too, they really did the book justice," I answered with a smile. He beamed and gave me a boyish grin. "For you, I'll watch anything." I rolled my eyes with a small smile. "Are you coming downstairs with me?" I asked instead
