I know it's strange how a Westorian is here but I am here not out of curiosity or interest but because I love your chief Darius and we would want your blessings." The Queen asks besides his Majesty, Deimos silently nods. "She must be good, for surviving all of those obstacles. A strong woman like her will make a good queen." "But she's not supposed to be in this game, why is she part of this?" The king said. "She is part of the Selection, and it's your responsibility to take care of Deimos." The majesty looked at him, and Deimos suddenly realized something. That's right, she's his responsibility. If anything happens to her, he is to blame. He should not let her enter this game, how stupid of him.

I asked. “I can’t tell you. If I were to tell anyone her real name though, it would be you.” Moran stated. “Go ahead.” I nodded. “Patrick Devere and Solar Flare can never find out the Vasilia’s demon name is Persephone. If that happens, then it’ll be easier for the Vasili to mate with her. Tell no one else.” He whispered. “Got it. I’ll send in Rao.” I said as I left. That wasn’t her name. I knew it was one of the names that would never be given to a Vasilia, just like Hades would never be given to a Vasili. Neither one would accept a demon as their avatar. They were the god and goddess of the desire demons.

Silas was lashing out in my mind, fighting me over the words that were about to leave my mouth. “Nothing.” I all but spat out with the effort of it. It pained me to have to say it, but there was nothing to be done. “Nothing my lord?” Dane seemed equally as surprised. “We trust the Queen, Dane. She is the only one that can complete this task now. The druids have made it clear that they will only speak with her. And we have to trust that she is safe and will find us. If we venture off in search of her, we will not only fail, but make it more difficult for her to get back to us.”

The drums had started to play a low, steady beat that seemed to vibrate through my chest. My throat bobbed as we approached the altar, where the entire tribe had gathered to watch. A priestess with feathers in her hair and a mask that looked like the face of an owl was standing there, praying quietly. Gareth was waiting for me as well. He was shirtless, his chest painted similarly to mine. He smiled when he saw me and extended his hand. “My Queen,” he said. I took his hand. His palm was rough and calloused, and his grip was too tight.

The moment he pushed the glass over to her, Queen smiled and said, "Mr. Suarez, I don't need it. I'm always in the mood. How else will I please a capable man like you?" Suarez frowned and threatened, "Drink it, or you scram." Queen hesitated. She knew she needed to be careful if she was going to extract information from him. How could she drink a substance she knew nothing about? However, Suarez said to one of his guys, "Who's this girl? Can they get me a more obedient whore? I hate the ones who try to act like they know better than me." He took out his phone and was about to make a phone call when Queen said, "No, wait, hold on, Mr. Suarez."

I remain silent. Listening. “Idra listens to me,” she continues. “I am the most powerful queen in this palace.” Her eyes lock onto mine. “I do not want to see you near him.” The words are not a request. They are a warning. Clear. Direct. I hold her gaze. “I am not interested in Idra,” I say calmly. “You do not have to worry.” Her expression does not change. So I continue. “I was married to him for political reasons only. If you keep him away from me, I would be very grateful.”
