The office was quiet, save for the sound of pages being flipped. On the desk was a plaque with the man's name: Hector Kosta. Deputy Director of First People's Hospital. His phone buzzed. Hector scanned the screen and smiled lecherously. Hell, he looked like the most typical horny old man one would ever see. The worst thing about this, though, was that he was a doctor. That meant a divorce of the person and the ethics his career would require. It also meant a certain degree of danger because what if a patient had to be treated by nobody but a horny doctor?

By the time Stephen was back with a young man in a blinding white lab coat and rimless glasses, Amaka and I were already best of friends. The doctor didn't beat around the bush, he went straight to the point. "Good day ma'am. I'm doctor Deji, Ayodeji precisely," the doctor said curtly, stretching out his hand with an offering of a handshake. I stood up and took it with a shaky smile. "I hope you don't mind sparing me a few seconds to talk for a bit? I gathered that you're the legal guardian for Amaka." I nodded eagerly and followed him out of the room, leaving Stephen alone with his sister to probably gossip about me.

" Dante said, smiling shyly. "So this is where you are, huh?" Dante turned. "I've been looking everywhere for you." Keane said as he joined them by the table. He glanced at Zeke, "how come you guys are talking? You know each other?" "Yup. I hear he works for you." Keane turned to Dante quizzically. "Work for me?" "Um ..yeah." Dante said, pleading desperately with his eyes for Keane to play along. Keane smirked mischievously. Should I tease him? Nah, don't let me do that. He turned back to Zeke. "of course. He's my personal doctor."

She was doing her best to get as many wounds as possible cleaned and stitched while the doctor worked on the whole tree branch situation up top. It wasn't very long before they managed to get him sewed up and stabilized. Becky was brought in shortly after that. She looked confused at first and then amused. "What do you want from me? I'm nothing but a lowly cosmetologist. How can I help you here?" Becky asked the doctor with a satisfied look on her face. "Cut the bullshit, Dutchess. I know exactly who you are, and your cousin needs blood," the doctor said to her curtly.

He’s facing me, his voice fakely joyful, but his eyes dart to the side as someone approaches the glass and I try to focus all my attention on acting normal. “I’ve been looking for you. You’re needed upstairs, right now. Leave this mutt alone…. you have an actual job to do. Some of your fresh samples have been delivered in ice boxes… I’m sure you don’t want to leave them to go bad.” It’s Deacon, my most favorite person in the whole wide world and with the pulsing rage I have going on, I tense and make to sit up, instincts taking over and ready to take him on more than ever. The doctor slams his hand on my chest and aggressively flattens me down.

Beam said worriedly. Hearing this, Joe finally snapped out of his confusion and then stared intently at Bono. "You fool! It's the opposite. That arrogant young man was actually telling the truth." Joe said with a worried look on his fierce face. Beam's eyes widened, "Sir? Are you sure? You-" "The doctor confirmed it. That damn young man ... he really knew that I had intestinal problems, and do you know what the doctor said? He ... said that I had been cured with an operation. An operation. Did you hear that?" Joe said with a strange look on his face.

“I know you’re hurting now, but there are things to be thankful for. You’ll find the love of your show again once you’re in a better place emotionally. You have your friends and family, a great house, a lot of talent. You have your health.” His health. Luc laughed bitterly. He had more than that. “Dr. Kimjin called me this morning.” Deke entered the room and stood behind his wife’s chair, a casual hand on her shoulder. “Is he the doctor who tested you last week in L.A.?”

Xavier asked with a frown. “A hiccup? Why wasn't I told about that? I'll make a call to Meyo Clinic to verify this." Zeke retrieved his phone. "Dr. Sowle, the only Drakonian doctor on the team, is an old friend of mine," he said smugly while dialing a number. Soon, the call was answered. “Dr. Sowle, hello!” While Zeke exchanged pleasantries with Dr. Sowle, Jennifer logged onto Meyo Clinic's official website. There was indeed a Drakonian doctor named Lancelot Sowle on Meyo Clinic's medical team.

The dark skinned female doctor behind the desk stands up and gives us a welcoming smile as we enter. “Welcome, Miss Ross and Mr. Peccati. I am Dr. Harley Goldwing.” I am happily surprised that she actually greeted me before Alessio. “Please take a seat and we will start with some questions.” Alessio sits close to me on the couch and holds my hand in his lap. To any other person this must look like a loving and concerned partner. I can see the doctor’s eyes following every motion that we make, but she keeps her smile in place. “So you are here to find out if you are pregnant, is that correct?” The doctor looks at me but it is Alessio that starts to speak.

****** Though I was the Alpha and made almost all the pack decisions, I relied mostly on the Elders' advice, especially now since Luke was no longer my Beta. I wanted to inform them about my trip and meeting the world's renowned doctor. She was the hope that alleviated people's fears about the wild flu. The medics worked tirelessly to learn to heal the wild flu, but they were not successful. Dr. Vale was the only person in the world to heal any disease. Her strength and gifts were beyond incredible. I was filled with awe and couldn't believe how exhilarating it felt to be in her presence. “Alpha Leo,” Elder Theon said, bowing his head.
