Drex pulled at one of the petals, and out came elven garments in a leaf-green hue—shiny and meticulously tailored. “Rucif! Are all your clothes green?” Drex asked. “That’s everyday wear! We do wear green!” he replied. “Good grief! Fine! It can’t be helped; there’s only green here. I look like a caterpillar!” Drex grumbled, reluctantly taking the elven cloth. He draped the fabric over his body, in a style that Drex thought was even stranger than a human idol’s costume. He stood before the shadowy rock crystal in Rucif’s room.

Alpha Thane rolled his eyes but didn’t protest. Dane and Zane were next while I worked on Zane and Lila. Also, there was a whole separate column for my shoes, which are mostly flat sandals. “This…” I looked at Derek in doubt. “This is for you…” He beamed with a boyish grin and I couldn’t help but raise my brow in questioning, “I barely stay here at night, and what about your designer ? Won’t she inform about this to your mother??”

KEENA Standing in the closet I finger through the clothes that are hanging on the "to wear when I am not around" side of the closet. Letting out a frustrated sigh I grab my cutest pair of black sweats. Looking down at the runes that now cover my forearms I know that I want to have them covered. I wrinkle my nose at all of the oversized sweatshirts and refuse to put them on. Grabbing a cropped sweatshirt from the other side of the closet and I slip it over my head. Jarek can't be too angry at my choice of clothing. I am covered except for a small bit of my stomach that is barely visible.

“Thank you, but I’ll stick with what I brought. The clothes are fine. Really. Just… send up something simple for today. Sweater, jeans. Whatever’s warm.” The servants exchanged glances again, amused, and almost proud but they didn’t argue. The head one nodded once. “As you wish, Miss. We’ll prepare something appropriate.” They moved efficiently, folding the sinful dresses back into their garment bags, closing the jewelry boxes with soft clicks that sounded like doors locking on temptation. One of them laid out a cream cashmere sweater, dark jeans, and ankle boots on the bed. Yeah, they're also beautiful, and expensive, but safe and also normal.

We walked up to the door getting ready to knock but before we could knock Drew opened the door with a smile, “Hey, girls come on in!” “Thanks, Drew,” Dime and I replied as we walked into his apartment. “Let me take your coats” Drew said as he closed the door and held his hands out for the coats, Dime and I took off our coats and handed them to Drew. As we took the coats off his mouth dropped as he saw our outfits, Dime was wearing a light pink belly shirt with some skinny jeans and brown combat boots, while I was wearing a silver bralette with a black fishnet shirt with silver skinny jeans and black combat boots.

"Appropriate how?" I looked down at what I was wearing. It was just my laundry day clothes. A pair of faded pink shorts that shrunk in the wash and a baggy, oversized black top that looked like a potato sack. It was completely unsexy, totally normal loungewear. Derek pointed a finger at me, his eyes lingering entirely too long on my lower half. "You are basically naked!" "Huh? I am fully clothed," I said, my voice rising. "But your legs are exposed," Derek muttered, his voice dropping into this weird, gruff register.
