CHAPTER 19 MARCELLUS POV : "No buts, just do it don't worry and you look like someone who's just playing cool. Sometimes you need to let out your cool die and show them who you are", Charlotte smiled at us grateful and we returned her smile. In the world of werewolves, Omegas are the lowest ranked members of their pack. They are often seen as weaker and less dominant than their Alpha and Beta counterparts. Omegas are born into their status, and most of them, they earn it through their behavior and actions. They may have been Alphas or Betas at one point, but due to a loss of power or a failure to maintain dominance, they have been demoted to Omega status.

‎I sighed, my shoulders slumping slightly. ‎“I’ll explain,” he continued before I could speak, his tone turning more serious again. “The reason we’re careful with Omegas…” ‎I listened closely as he spoke. ‎“Beta Benjamin once had a mate. She was an Omega….rogue, just like you. He marked her, claimed her.” ‎My fingers tightened slightly around the glass. ‎“But she was greedy,” he went on, his expression darkening. “She wanted power. And one day… another Alpha claimed her as his mate too.”

“He came from your own flesh and blood. Would it hurt you to give him the life he deserves?” Alpha Xenon stood with his back to her, his broad shoulders tense. He turned slowly, his eyes glowing faintly with suppressed fury. “I do not have a child that is a monster!” he spat, his voice reverberating through the room. “I already told you, you are an omega, and I am an alpha. Do you understand the disgrace you’ve brought upon me? Do you know what kind of mistake we are living?” My breath caught in my throat. Monster? Disgrace? His words were like daggers, each one piercing deeper than the last.

For once, I didn’t feel the need to play the level-headed Alpha. Because I agreed. “Christ is dead,” I said through my teeth. “He just doesn’t know it yet. We burn his operation. Torch every pack that’s in on it. I don’t care how far we have to dig—we bring it all down.” Kael’s gaze stayed fixed on the floor, but his words were steady. “She said there are others. More omegas. Still out there.” The silence that followed was heavier than before—thick enough to choke on.

She growled, the veins on the side of her neck popping out. Then I noticed a mark on her neck. A quarter moon shape. It was familiar because– I had one too. It was the marks given to Omega at birth, to distinguish them from the rest. Hers was barely visible, it seemed she covered it with make up powder. “You are– you are an Omega.”

~5 years ago~ My parents always made sure everything was perfect for the Alpha and his Luna. They were lead Omega's but that didn't matter. The Alpha found dust under a lamp. Not much but it was enough to be killed for apparently. They could feel his anger as he made his way down to our little falling apart shack. Knowing something was different this time, they told me and my sister to run into the woods and not to look back.

𝗠𝘆 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗽𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱, 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗮𝘆 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁. "Do you know who that pack was? It was the pack where Omegas resided. Or should I say, 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗢𝗺𝗲𝗴𝗮 𝗭𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗰𝘂𝘀' 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗸."

He hit the obsidian floor, his gold skin fading to a deathly, translucent white. "Mommy..." he whispered, his hand reaching out for the space where the light had been. I tried to move my fingers. I tried to command the vents. But the floor beneath my throne was still liquid, and as the First Omega’s remains settled, a new shadow detached itself from the silver-gray smoke. It wasn't a Watcher. It was Kael, but his digital silhouette was no longer blue. It was a jagged, necrotic purple—the color of the 14-B virus.

One of the Gammas muttered, seeing a bunch of strange-looking Omegas. Callum narrowed his eyes. He noticed something unusual about the group of Omegas walking towards him. Callum's men are in ready mode. They can feel the negative energy around them. As they focused on the strangeness of Omega walking towards them. Suddenly, the corpse lying on the ground came back to life and stood behind Callum and his followers. "Alpha Callum," called one of his men. Callum turned around, "What the hell?"
