Although they don't look like ordinary people with different hair colors, eyes, and species, except for Camila, I'm not afraid of them. I'm having a good time chatting with them, and I learned much about who they are. Saye, Arlo, and Jippis are demons. I thought demons were scary and ugly looking, red with horns, and had a snake-like tongue, always red and surrounded by fire to represent hell that wants to eat your soul. You always see them on Halloween posters or costumes; Saye, Arlo, and Jippis don't look like that. They don't look scary at all. I feel like they came out of a comic book, like a superhero.

Her enemy was equally as motionless on the back of the white beast, dusky black cape billowing over the mount’s rear and the dogs a single silken mass twining around its legs. Strange toothy black beasts whose fur looked dense and rough. More like tree bark then hair. The most fearsome dogs she’d ever laid eyes on. Demon Dogs. Neither of them broke contact nor made a move. I suppose we’re two foes facing down in the storm. At least in her mind. For now, both of us are willing to see whose will shatters first. It won’t be mine... Sebastian was fighting the twitching of his lips again. Watching her so brave and bold was enhancing his arousal.

When he turned back to the edge of his bed, Blood, the demon version of Young, had disappeared. It drove the man mad that although nothing had been said, he knew exactly what his nightmares coming into the real world meant. He loved to kill, and had dark magic that could rip his enemies into pieces quickly of a second. Going against him meant death because he is the strongest demon in the realm. He was merciless and everyone feared him, even his family. His body, his features, and his voice had authority among the whole demons. And looked like he was made for the night of all of its sins... Years of war and battle made him cold, his enemies made him more ruthless.

I answered coolly. He strutted across the room and went to stand in a glass window where the outside showed a good angle of the veranda and the Winner Family pool. He smiled, pleased over something that he saw. I wondered what it was then. What is advantageous of being a demon is that we get to read another person's mind. We can use it for or against them. But before an angel, we are helpless. It is either they have barriers in their too-holy brains or they are just dead on imagination. I prefer to think it is the latter.

I stared at him while waiting for an answer. “It’s a Demon’s symbol.” My eyes furrowed at what he said. I stared at his eyes but he seems serious! But what? Demon’s symbol? I don’t understand. “D-Demon?” I stammered. He nodded and looked away. He’s now back on staring at the glass wall. I shook my head in disagreement. “Are you kidding me? There’s no such thing about Demons! I am finding the murderer and-“ “It’s always been the Demon’s fault, Majesty. I was glad because I thought he came to me for the same reason I had. But I was wrong. I felt his hostility when he asked me about the Demon Alpha’s son. When I told him that the boy is innocent and has no connection to the evildoings of his father, he got mad and accused me of having connection with the Demon Pack. He captured me and imprisoned me in his pack’s dungeon. I tried to fight back but he had better fighting skills, I had no match to him. I could still remember vividly how he tortured me with a blazing whip just so I would tell him where the boy was. But I knew he would kill the boy once he’d find him that’s why I didn’t say a thing.
