Ariella hadn't exactly entertained the notion that Seneca was anything more than a grieving widowed Luna, but maybe there was something more behind her cold exterior. "It says here that demons can take on human form and even reproduce. Don't ask me how. But Francis also believed that there was some kind of ritual for turning a half-breed demon into a full demon. Sounds freaky," Gabby screwed up her face and pushed the book back to Ariella. "Sounds absolutely horrible," Luci commented from over Ariella's shoulder, and Ariella shivered in agreement.

He holds out his hands, so I take them, trying not to think about how much larger they are compared to mine. "You should know that I find touching you abhorrent," I mutter. All I can think about is how many people have lost their lives to these hands. "I don't care what you're feeling, as long as it's something," he says. "Now. Try to relax.
