Every noble gave way for him to walk through. Roman moved through the crowd effortlessly. Lysan's hand tightened on the glass. He had seen that smile a thousand times, in battle fields, in his nightmares, everywhere. But here, no one knew what that smile hid. Dyleon whispered softly to Lysan. “Wow, so that's the famous Demon prince, Roman Da'Luca.” “Yeah.” “They say he's gonna be the next Demon king.” Dyleon's eyes trailed Roman. “But, mere looking at him, he doesn't seem like someone who could cause terror.”

“You’re right. I need to get some books for pregnancy tomorrow. Everything they have. Do you think it’s different from normal human pregnancies?” “I know for a fact that it is.” “You will not stop me from reading books like that this time around?” She asked, side-eyeing me. I fought to cover up my laughter with a cough. She was still sore that I didn’t want her reading about demons. We had fought over it for over an hour — well; she did — and some rather rewarding events had followed. “I don’t know dick about pregnancy, but guess what I know everything about?” At her scoff, I laughed. “That’s right. Demons.”

While he didn’t appreciate the offer, he understood it had been done out of some misplaced sense of empathy. Still, even today, he failed. Demonology was the most boring of all the classes. Drent, the instructor in charge, had them learning everything they could about as many demons as they could. So far, the man had covered only ten demons in detail and roughly twenty in passing. Kilvic, however, found nothing new, and was always forced to battle with a drowsiness born of boredom while the man taught and the risk of whispering answers beyond the instructor’s observation whenever one of his friends was asked a question they couldn’t answer.

He had donned on a baby blue thin robe over his white underclothes and his hair was left loose without a single hair ornament though it was brushed back accentuating his wavy hair. After breakfast he began browsing through his collection of novels to pass the time. As he walked between the shelves which contained his private collection, he noted to himself. “Hmmm I think It’s about time I visit the bookstores in town. It’s time to get new books to read.” He thought as he passed over most of the books which he had read and reread over and over gai in the past. “Ah It’s been a while since I read this one.” He said to himself as he picked up a novel from the end of the shelf, the title ‘The Arr

Chapter 15: Return You wake up every morning to fight the same demons that left you so tired the night before, and that, my love, is bravery. *************** |Verena| "Try that one more time." Nate instructed as he advanced towards me. I aimed a kick to his chest. I wasn't even surprised when he stopped the blow smoothly, his slim fingers wrapped around my ankle as he yanked forward causing me to lose my balance. My body started plummet towards the ground.

I had to move fast. I turned through the pages of the spell book with shaky hands until I finally settled on what I was searching for. “Thrakos, Demon of the Underworld, Lord of Hell,” I whispered, my fingers tracing the forbidden verse. “He who commands the forbidden flames of the devil's domain,” my voice grew louder, desperation etched in my eyes, "I call thee, Thrakos. I summon thee to the mortal realm. Kneel before–” The sound of thunder cracking cut me short before I could complete my words. The ground began to rumble and the circle I had engraved on the ground expanded outwards as dark smoke clouded the entire place.

Six demons, upper ranks at their front lines. The soldiers had gathered by the walls, both outside and within the city. The southern gate now stood closed. Not enough. he asks, obviously upset. "I was attacked." "That I can see. By what?" he says a bit angrily. "By a ghoul," I almost whisper out. Bennet's brow knit together. "By what?" "A ghoul. They're demons that feast upon vampire blood," I explain. "Why would it attack you? You're not a vampire and-" "This one I have a history with," I interrupt. Bennet frowns. "Tell me," he says as he lifts me up onto the bed. I sit between his legs, facing him. I lean forward and hug him. He reciprocates.
