“I’m glad she told you that. The last I knew about him was that he had been sent back to the Underground world… in other words, killed. But I don’t think he’s still down there.” “What?” "I had a vision, and in it, he had overpowered the Demon Overlord and taken his place." “And I guess you also found out about my ability via this vision?” I asked; I couldn’t hide the mockery from my voice. The incident in the Gray Moon Pack would have given anyone that looked deeper a clue. “Demons don’t escape the underground world; that is their final destination.” “But the Overlord had done that once; all he needed was a sorcerer and a demon to complete the ritual.”

Monster Emperor Shentia said slowly and quietly. "Yes, you're right. If Tian Shen were standing in front of us, we wouldn't be able to scratch him, much less exact revenge. Over the thousands of years, he would have grown stronger beyond belief and we would stand no chance against him. But things are different now. "I thought that if I could summon a Greater Demon and kill it with evidence to present to the Caucus, they'd let me be a part of their world and finally accept that I also had something special in me. I admit my plan was way over the top. I was a desperate, stupid eighteen-year old. "Perhaps a Raum or Dragonid demon I might have had luck killing, but summoning a Greater Demon, a demon that had existed before the birth of Hunters, infact a child of Lilith and Lucifer, was unthinkable among Hunters, but I was so desperate to prove a point to the Caucus, my mom, and Hunters at large, that one faithful night when my mother was out, I stole a couple of her spellbooks, a box of chalk and a Celesti

Our demon magic originates from Haures himself, so not having control over it would be catastrophic. What documented history there was on my demon side and history was very limited. When she contacted him about me, her father explained that 1500 years ago, our ancestors ruled over a small kingdom that was under constant attack. Eventually it got so bad, the kingdom was going to fall. So my however-many-great-great-grandfather summoned Haures to ask for his wife and unborn son's salvation. They received salvation but the price was his soul. Not much was said other than when his wife gave birth to his son, he was a demon-werewolf hybrid. The demon gene was only passed to the males, while any f

Cypherion had been Vandelarius's heir after all. Uh-oh. "We declare you heir to Second Seat," she said while Dad scowled like a thundercloud and refused to look at me. "Future Ruler of Demonicon." I didn't know whether to thank her with as much sarcasm as I could muster or keep quiet. Quiet won.

“The possessed furry Blood Demon is starting to look a bit bizarre. The demon keeping it alive could be anything, remember that. The Daddy Demon then gets possessive of his female and decides he doesn’t want some Coded baby growing inside of her. He poisons it when it is developing, killing the demon keeping it alive. This would usually completely kill the baby too, but this baby is a Blood Demon now and is immune to the poison. The hybrid keeps developing, forming the fingers and face from the woman’s DNA carrying him. When it is born, it is the mixture of four species; wild Scavanger, Blood Demon, Demon, and Human. This is usually where Daddy Demon tears the baby apart to start over, but s

"That's my girl." I ignored him, turning back to Sebastian. "Any problems with the plan?" He hesitated, his dark eyes searching mine. "And you're certain you can... finish the job?" My smile turned razor-sharp. "Sweetheart, I'm the heir to Hell. I’ve been killing demons since before you were a twinkle in your father’s eye." Sebastian's eyebrow arched, a smirk playing at the corners of his mouth. "I highly doubt that, darling. I'm quite a bit older than I look."

"Back then, even the Watchers dared not speak his name. She is not just a killer... she is a punishment." "She is more than that," the black-robed figure whispered, his voice turning almost ecstatic. "He is the first shadow, a form of pure darkness before there was light. He saw... and he waited. And now, she is hungry." Then from the hole, a claw emerged. Long, black as metal baked in the darkness, with joints that bent improperly. The claws dug into the edge of the altar, leaving cracks as the creature began to pull itself out.
