Ready?” I asked, more to myself than to him. “Go ahead.” Denny answered curtly. “I’m a concubus, Dennis. So was Indie. The reason Drayce…. “What the bloody hell is that?” I moved away from Ryker, my eyes were solely fixated on the book. Wiping away the shattered glasses, I did not care if it would hurt me. Once it was clean, I read the book to Ryker. “It is the Book of The Damned.” All I wanted was to get a hold of that book and satisfy my curiosity but when I did, I could feel the power surging from the book, my hands were painfully attached to it. Then the book opened, forcing my palm to hold it up the pages started to flip rapidly. So many images flashed through my mind but none of which I recalled. The book slammed shut and I blinked. I turned to Ryker and swallowed before finding my voice to speak, “Did you see that?”

He barks out a laugh, making me jump in surprise. "What kind of witch are you? Can you not read?" My cheeks heat up more, but now from anger. "I can read!" "Really." He flips the book shut before leafing through the first few introductory pages. "'Demonology'." "What?!" I rip the book out of his hands. I had to move fast. I turned through the pages of the spell book with shaky hands until I finally settled on what I was searching for. “Thrakos, Demon of the Underworld, Lord of Hell,” I whispered, my fingers tracing the forbidden verse. “He who commands the forbidden flames of the devil's domain,” my voice grew louder, desperation etched in my eyes, "I call thee, Thrakos. I summon thee to the mortal realm. Kneel before–” The sound of thunder cracking cut me short before I could complete my words. The ground began to rumble and the circle I had engraved on the ground expanded outwards as dark smoke clouded the entire place.

But the worse was yet to come. When I got to the library it was just the librarian around, I asked for demonology books and she directed me to the area. After a minute of searching, I found it. But as I turned to leave, there it was, a demon. It was black with holes all over its face, it has a long triangular tongue sticking out of its mouth with claws as long as Sebastian's. I screamed in utter fright, the librarian was no where to be seen, maybe the demon had ended her. I tried to run, but terror got my feet planted on the ground. The demon picked me and sent my body flying to the opposite end of the room. Before I hit the wall behind me, I was caught by Sebastian, he came to rescue me!

I was eager to read every book they brought me since I felt so full now. I looked at the books in front of me and said, “These are quite a lot, huh.” With a sigh, I picked up the first book I saw and opened it. This appears to be an old book, yet it remains in fine shape. As I look at the front page, I see the title: ‘The Bloodsuckers, Shapeshifters, and Spellcasters.’ I grabbed another heavy book, as heavy as the first one. Its title, ‘The Realm of Lunaria’, convinced me to start reading this first. To readily grasp everything, I must first learn about their realm before I can even begin to know those mysterious beings.
