How can such a disgusting creature with no bones cultivate to become a human? How strange!” This team looked bizarre. Not only was there a demon with a snail shell on his back, but there was also a wasp-like demon, a butterfly demon, an earthworm demon... They seemed to have been summoned from the back garden of someone’s house.

Then the air changed. It grew colder and darker. A heavy presence filled the clearing. The drums stopped. Everyone fell silent. He was here. A tall figure appeared at the edge of the altar. Shadows seemed to cling to him. His skin was pale like moonlight, his eyes glowing faintly red. Long black hair fell over his shoulders. He wore dark robes that moved as if they were alive. Power rolled off him in waves. Vesperian. The Demon Lord looked down at her slowly, studying her like she was something new and interesting. His gaze moved over her white dress, her trembling hands, her face.

I have never liked this part of being a werewolf. I hear a guttural snarl and I snap my gaze up to the loft. The demon is standing at the railing and jumps over it, landing on its feet. It’s bigger than any demon I have fought before, and I watch in morbid fascination as it starts to transform in front of me. It’s already large frame seems to double in size and large spikes protrude from its spine. It’s claws elongate to at least six inches and when it bares its teeth they are long and needle like. I watch as his wild, pale face disappears into impossible depths, something beneath the swamp itself.
