Just as the blade light was about to touch Sebastian's body, a semi-transparent shield appeared in front of him. Clang! When the blade light struck the shield, the shield dissipated, and the blade light was also neutralized. Sebastian was unharmed, showing no signs of damage.

Lucian joined on the fight and it seemed Drago was more prepared for it wasn’t long, they had Nikolai surrounded and disarmed. “Take a look Nikolai, I won the battle after all. Megara didn't pass him a look and turned her gaze towards the struggling demon. She grabbed the hilt of her sword and in no second the head of the demon rolled down on the floor with blood gushing out of his neck like boiling water as the demon fell on his knees and stiffened in the same position. Megara took out her handkerchief and cleaned the dirty blood off her shiny sword.

That didn’t deter me because all I could think was keeping them away from Talia till she gets on the other side of the portal. As I murmured a silent chant in the air, a sharp metallic dagger appeared in my hand. I sliced the wind through the dagger, admiring the sharp silver blade winking at me. The dagger was sort of my gift for a job well done, something I got right after fighting the previous King of the throne. It can kill any demonic spirit, even the faceless shadows, but they did not die easy.

I could feel the hot sticky blood ooze down my leg. "Next time you forget who's in charge here, It'll be your neck." He said lowly. His hand clutched my hair painfully as he yanked my head back and pressed the blade to my now exposed neck. "No more games. Now you talk." He whispered menacingly in my ear.
