She seemed to peaceful in her sleep and I close my eyes. I'm startled awake by screaming and for a moment I forget where I am. The woman I saved was wielding a kitchen knife at me, fear washing over her face. I hold my hands up to show her I wasn't armed. I left my short swords by the door. Recognition fills her eyes and drops the knife. "The legend is true? You're the Dhampir," she asks in disbelief, reaching to touch my face. I close my eyes to her touch and picture my mother. Tears roll down my cheeks and she pulls her hands away. "Thank you for saving my life."

There's a wide room with a matching window that has the scene of the ocean beyond a small meadow and a small group of trees to the right. There are two chairs and one round high coffee table between. Two people sit, one you know, one you don't. At least not from this story. "So," says Cayce, "I'll introduce myself first. But since this is the end of my book then you probably know about me enough. The first couple of lower Demons attack Zachariah, which he manages to dodge, and then swings out with the Gurkha Kukri knife and connects with at least one of the Demons. The Demon hisses and Zachariah smiles as there is a smudge of black liquid on the edge of the blade. Unfortunately, Zachariah is unable to find or get a kill shot as the Demons all take turns in attacking him.

Pushing the door open he slid into his study room and brought out a book showing it to Draco who had no idea what it was for. "Wondering how I knew what happened without stepping out of my room, this.. I saw everything here and after the Queen you're next, I don't know how but everything here is happening right now." Jeiel rushed, showing him everything he needed to know. Draco stared at him, jaw dropped to the floor. "It's the demon!" He said the words hanging on his mouth as he coughed out blood. Jeiel was shocked and with a swift move turned the book over to himself and then he saw Draco on a tick but no indication to know which tick he was on. His hands started sweating out as he tried s

“What the hell was that?” Scott asked as he and Jo turned from the sound the scream had come from and made eye contact with one another. “It was Cass--but I don’t know why she’s screaming,” Jo said. She took another glance at Ryker and saw that he seemed to be recovering from the cuts in his arm and the pain from the Transformation serum. She started heading in the direction that the scream had come from as she asked both Cass and Zane, “What’s going on?” over the IAC.

“Do you know why? Because she doesn’t drain me. She feeds me. Just as I feed her. We are symbiosis. We are balance. We are what the books never predicted.” “The Council… the Council will want to know about this…” “The Council will find out soon enough.” I tilted my head. “And it will learn.” I extended my hand to the side, and the air tore open in violet and silver. My black scythe slid out of the pocket dimension, the ebony handle fitting perfectly in my palm. The curved blade gleamed, ancient runes pulsing in shades of violet. The leader looked at the scythe. Then at me. “That is… a scythe of death…”

She carefully turns her head, her eyes locking onto the towering, pitch-black monstrosity in my hands. It's a scythe—a divine weapon of pure carnage that entirely dwarfs my petite frame. Nyla swallows hard, then lets out a breathless, booming laugh. "Well, I'll be damned. I just wanted to test your reflexes, kid. I didn't expect you to manifest your signature weapon on the first day." She looks me up and down, taking in the jarring contrast. "Tell your homeroom Professor to order you a custom black cloak. He looked at me in shock and I could see the fear in his eyes when he looked at my arm. "Demon." I heard him say before running away from my room. I just asked why he seems to be scared. Who is the demon? Me? What is a demon by the way? Then when I got dressed I went out of the room and went to the kitchen, I saw a knife fall to the floor so I took it but I immediately let it go and closed my eyes because I saw something in my mind again. I saw the face of my mom and the girl with the horns again, mom was holding a knife and stabbed that girl with the horns, the girl did not know because she was sleeping.
