The fear in his eyes gave me a thrill as I sunk my fangs in his flesh. I let him fall with a thud at me feet, tilting my head to the side with blood dripping down my chin. I look towards Mackenzie and motion for her to join me. The remaining two vampires were stunned they had stumbled upon two Dhampirs, wondering where I came from. I didn't give them a chance to learn as I sunk my teeth in a second vampire. I turn to see Mackenzie finishing the last vampire and shift back to my human form. I abruptly turn her to face me. I look at her bloody mouth, hesitant on kissing her, afraid I'd lose control.

Ancients are risky because if they give in to their bloodlust, they are taken over by a vile spirit—a demon. They become vampires.” Storm felt a shiver run down her spine. Vampires. That malevolent spirit that had been watching her all this while, was a vampire, a demon, the undead. She shivered again, wondering how long she had captured their attention. Her mind caught at intervals as she thought of the role she had to play in this ancient conflict.

Chaze shook his head as Kane picked up the dead demon and flung him randomly. “No, not real demons. They are Chimera Vampires. Kane’s dad messed around with the bat tribe and made all sorts of abominations before ending with the results of vampires. Mind you, he was trying to make his own Chimera and failed several times. Oh, maybe that's why he texted me to not tear it up. At that time I was so confused and thought he was a stalker. Little did I know he was actually a blood-sucking demon. Or was he? "Since you're a vampire, do you drink blood?" I asked because from what I know, they're always thirsty for blood and he hasn't shown any sign of that.

The coachman looked back at her. "Level D's are the kind of demons or vampires that can't be control. They are attacking everyone and their consciousness as a human is already gone, your majesty." The coachman explained. "Most level D's are all human who turned into vampires who doesn't want to be one. The result is they are losing their consciousness as a human until, they officially became a monster that they don't want to be." He added.
