Chapter 16 “Demon fire” POV Ayesha “Why are you back? You’re not wanted here, Ayesha. You should leave before I hurt you!” I get off the chair and walk slowly over. “Why do you smell like a corpse? Are you dead?” Stella growls, and Julia steps back. “Thanatos is mine now. You need to accept that and move on.” Julia says. I feel Stella fighting to take over. I continue to walk forward, and Julia continues to walk backwards. “You can’t take what was never yours to begin with.” I smile.

He looked at me in shock and I could see the fear in his eyes when he looked at my arm. "Demon." I heard him say before running away from my room. I just asked why he seems to be scared. Who is the demon? Me? What is a demon by the way? Then when I got dressed I went out of the room and went to the kitchen, I saw a knife fall to the floor so I took it but I immediately let it go and closed my eyes because I saw something in my mind again. I saw the face of my mom and the girl with the horns again, mom was holding a knife and stabbed that girl with the horns, the girl did not know because she was sleeping.

“You don’t have to thank me, but maybe we can do this again? Maybe things can be like they were before.” She shrugged slightly and smiled, only it didn’t quite reach her eyes. “I don’t know if that’s possible. Who I am now …” Her voice faltered. I could see the haunted light in her eyes, and I knew where it came from. I had seen the pictures of the crime scene left behind by the demon possessing Coop. “Then let’s start over. Whatever you can give me, I’ll take.” A heavy silence hung between us before she finally spoke, her voice quiet and uncertain. “Yeah, maybe.”

This might be the only time he will allow it. Aeron got off the bed, and I led him to my bathroom into the shower. I took off his shirt and gasped. He was bruised everywhere.
