The chains that were wrapped around its body continue to rattle at the intensity of its laughter, “Which soul? Which one?” it sneers, baring its teeth as its eyes of red flashed dangerously amidst the darkness, “That battered excuse of a soul you truly have or the other god’s?” Proserpina wasn’t impressed. “I wasn’t talking about mine, demon.”

Not once had the other man contacted him. Demons originally had a low perception of time. There was no day in the Old Realm, only a long, endless night, and in the total stillness of the eternal night, demons in turn lived horribly long lives - if they weren't hunted by another demon. In fact, no demon ever dies a natural death. But Baymont felt that the silent passage of time had become extraordinarily long. Paralyzed with fear, she watched as the smoky figure loomed closer, its presence suffocating and terrifying. Around her, her comrades stood in a tense silence, their eyes fixed on the unfolding scene. The demon, moving with an unsettling deliberateness, slowly ventured towards Belle, its form shifting and writhing as it advanced, drawing ever nearer to the trembling woman who had summoned it from the abyss. "A soul of a lowly harlot's offspring, hahaha," the demon intoned, its voice an indistinct amalgamation. Was it male or female? Such distinctions were irrelevant, for demons were once angels, and angels transcend human notions of gender.

Demons- I thought- of lust, of desire. Now, don't roll your eyes. Desire demons take far too many forms to just say mine was a succubus thing- I didn't summon them just to get my rocks off. Lust demons are the deal makers, the insidious, the Djinn. They meet us humans at crossroads, grant us wishes, fulfil our dreams. They are exactly what you want them to be. I could've gotten very loving and careful parents who would nourish and protect us. But we got monsters.

The only way the other demon could be so elderly could be due to use of dark magic or arrogant spells gone wrong. It doesn't matter how or why the man looks the way he does. It won't stop Adom.

Like a specter, he weaved through the demon's blind spots, striking at its vulnerable joints with surgical precision. Each strike sent shockwaves of pain through the demon's body, threatening to unravel its very essence. As the battle reached its peak, the demon unleashed its most devastating attack. It reared back, drawing upon its immense power, and released a wave of infernal energy that rippled through the battlefield. The ground cracked, molten lava erupted, and dark clouds swirled overhead, heralding the unleashing of its wrath. Edna, Marcus, and Derek fought against the chaotic onslaught, their unity becoming their shield against the relentless assault.

The little girl was already trembling with fear. The next moment, a demon’s withered hand tinged with blood reached out toward her. The little girl was terrified but could not fight back.
