Her heart pounded as she looked at Lucian, searching his face for any sign of deceit. “Just tell us everything,” she said softly. “No more secrets.” Lucian sighed, finally sitting back down. He steepled his fingers and took a long moment to collect his thoughts. “My real name,” he began, his voice steady but low, “is Derek. I was once the Alpha of the Bloodshade Pack—a pack Alex was born into.”
