The cottage was like my dad's hidden lair because it was very hard to find and after a rumage through the shelves, Kai had stumbled on the book again and had passed it to me. It had a boldly written title THE REPELLER's DESCENDANTS I've gone quarter of the pages and all I see were pictures of the previous repellers who passed down their gifts through their DNA. I had purposely gone to the end of the book and had seen the last repeller. Maybe they thought the next one would start the book 2 and I'm the next one. I was surprised finding my grandmother's photo amongst them. She was a repeller too.(This is all my imaginations, not real, just a novel imagination, read on)

I just finished reading the last book when I started to write Descent for real! The title when this was still a draft was actually ‘Can’t Help Falling (In Love With You)’ because I was listening to the same song only the dark version at the time. But I got annoyed because I felt it was too freaking long to be a title. For a time, I settled calling the story "Fall from Grace" in my head but it still felt wrong... so when I searched for a synonym, the meaning of the word descent.. clicked; it feels like it perfectly sums up the entire plot.

“What the fuck is going on?” “Language Marley.” Absinthe warned, and she flipped him off, turning her head to Othello. “Who is it? Why does it seem like I killed a ghost?” “Because you did.” I said, standing up, walking to the shelf and I pulled out a large Tome. Walking back to the table, I dropped it in front of Marley, sending dust flying. She coughed and shot a glaring look at me, making me grin, which sent a flush across her cheeks and down into her blouse. Concentrate dude… I turned and pointed at the book. “This tome is full of our Elders—Past, present and their bloodlines. Direct descendants. This is the last edition, the newest one is in production.”
