The sand swallowed him whole, his thoughts scattering like dust in the wind until nothing remained but the howling desert and the endless march of the Sand Men.
In the distance, a shadow flickered. Another warrior had fallen, another body to become one with the sands.
The desert stretched out in every direction, an endless sea of blistering sand beneath a cloudless sky. The heat bore down like the weight of a thousand anvils. There was a suffocating presence that drained the strength from anyone foolish enough to venture onto its lands. But here, beneath the relentless sun, a battle was unfolding, one of desperation, blood, and the unyielding will to survive.
