It had been a while since they had a special treat like this, and Irene was determined to make it happen. After savoring every bite of the delectable pasta, Irene leaned back in her chair, her stomach comfortably full. She glanced at the dessert tray sitting on the small table nearby. It was adorned with a variety of tempting treats, and one item in particular caught her eye, a beautifully plated dessert, still covered in plastic wrap. Curiosity got the better of her, and Irene couldn't resist the temptation. She carefully unwrapped the dessert and revealed a delightful concoction. It was a rich chocolate mousse cake topped with fresh strawberries and a drizzle of raspberry sauce.

I don’t want him to think I’m a total slob. Before long, Dustin and Drea are back with the desserts. She really outdid herself with the assortment of sweets. She made a Dutch apple pie, double fudge brownies, cheesecake, homemade old fashioned ice cream, tiramisu, and crème brûlée! Next time, I’m absolutely bringing my kids. They would love all these desserts! How am I supposed to chose what to eat. I'm salivating just looking at the choices.

Excitement charged the air — today marked the beginning of Dessert Week. Glass cases along the hallways gleamed with delicate pastries crafted by former students: airy macarons, glossy fruit tarts, intricate chocolate sculptures. The scent of sugar, butter, and warm vanilla filled the corridors, tugging her straight back to memories of her children sneaking spoonfuls of whipped cream at home.

Maybe it’s abstract. There are no wrong answers. So, draw and let the room take you to an inspirational place.” Tawnie tells the class. I pull out my pencils so I can get to sketching. I’m thinking today I need color. I will use my colored pencils to bring these colorful pastries to life.
