Destiny is running late so we did not walk together this morning. Destiny is my best friend. She is a Bampire, and her father is Trey. Mom turned them when I was months old. We are the same age, our parents, kept us together since we were infants. We are inseparable. I would do anything for her, and she would do the same for me.

Damien didn’t stop there, even though I was visibly shaking. “Before we were born, our dearest mom was destined to be with two different men. I wanted answers. "Did she call my cell," I asked him curiously and he nodded. "Yeah and she and I spoke for several hours about you and I," he grinned. I furrowed my brow as I followed him towards a SUV in the parking lot. "So why is Destiny currently in my father's sex dungeon," I mumbled sourly and Rai giggled and said,"seriously?" I nodded and shrugged. "According to your mom that bitch has been trying forever to get in a permanent relationship with him," Rai stated. I rolled my eyes and grinned.

He ran back to Aurora and got onto her lap, eyeing me suspiciously. “James, I want to go.” Destiny made it clear she had enough. “At least give me your phone number.” Aurora was determined, I had to give her that. Destiny held out her hand for her mother’s cellphone and typed in her number. “This is just in case of an emergency. I don’t want you to be a part of my life,” she said as she handed the phone back and stood up to leave. “Say hi to your father for me.” Aurora called after us, but Destiny didn’t look back.

Dario disconnects the link, and I sigh. I know I’m being a bit much, but this is crazy, and my dad is missing. The door opens, and my mom walks in, but she isn’t alone. “You.” “Yes. I'm High Priestess Topaz. Your mom called me for help, so what can I do?”

I told her. The door opened behind us and we turned. I smiled. The new spirit had arrived. She was just as beautiful as I remembered. Tall, blonde, regal, everything Devere thought a concubus should be. “Maddie! I missed you so much.” My mom cried rushing over to hug me. “Hey, mom. Sorry, I’m not the one you’re here for. I love you and I missed you, too. I want you to know, Josh never got me. Serena and Indie kept me safe.” I said tearfully.

I asked in a fake dull voice. As soon as she heard my voice, she started crying. Since my childhood, I have known my mom as a strong woman. She always used to motivate me whenever I used to disappoint in my professional career. For the first time, I saw my mom break down. " Mom….please don't cry. I will come to you as soon as possible. Now I am going out. Bye," I disconnected the call as I was worried if I speak anything over the phone, it would be a problem.

"What are you saying, Camila?" Jodie, noticing the serious conversation, approached the two of them, her face filled with curiosity. "What's going on, you two? Deep secrets?" Camila turned to Jodie, her expression composed yet filled with a hint of secrecy. "Oh, it's nothing, Jodie. Just a moment of reflection and discovery. Matilda and I were simply discussing the beauty of transformation." Jodie's eyes darted between Camila and Matilda, a playful smirk forming on her lips. "Come on, Matilda, spill the beans. What are you and my mom talking about? Did you find a secret magic potion or something?"

That was why she still hadn't realized that her mother was gone. However, Yelena wasn't the type to reflect on herself, so that left all of the blame squarely on Phillip.
