I swallowed hard. She stood slowly, walking around the table until she stood beside me, her hand sliding over my shoulder. “My son,” she murmured, “you were born with a destiny larger than this pack, larger than Kai, larger than your own heart.” I closed my eyes. “Aliya,” I whispered. “What about her destiny?” My mother paused. And then, in a soft, trembling voice, she said: “Her destiny will cross yours again. But not now. And not like this.”

My own mother used to call me black witch. My mother hated me. She never liked to see my face. She never fed me. There was a kind woman in our territory. She was a vampire but she was a beggar. She was the one who fed me every time I was hungry when I was a baby. I was not the only child. I had three older brothers. Justin, Edwin and Calvin. Like the whole territory, they all hated me as well. But they used me for their benefits, sometimes. I used to do their home chores while they would do nothing but sit into their rooms.

How much she cried to her father to save her mom but he simply walked away saying it was useless to spend on a person who was already meant to die. Anna could not do anything for her mother. All she did to embrace her tightly and see her suffering. Then one day her mom was released from the pain. She died in Anna's hand smiling weakly at her. Anna begged everyone hugging her mom's cold body to save her but nothing worked that day. She was standing alone to say farewell to her mother. Her dad was busy with his conference. A tear fell on the cheek making Anna come to reality. Anna wiped away when the taxi stopped.

Chelsey was so exhausted for the past few days as she never left in Carina's wake. Her father, Rouge, was still under comatose in an ICU. She was thinking of visiting her brother, Carter, after the burial of her mother.She just wanted to cherish the last few hours with her mother's side. She Carina seemed to looked asleep while lying her lifeless body inside the coffin. Chelsey wanted to touch her mother's beautiful face but she couldn't anymore. She only caressed the glass in front of her mother's face.

His lips felt hot against her skin, a painful contrast to the frost in his eyes. "Pleased to meet you, Mommy," Xavier whispered, emphasizing the word with deep mockery. As he pulled back, he leaned slightly toward her, close enough for his sharp, masculine scent to overwhelm her senses. "You look very expensive tonight, Elara. How much did my father pay to make you kneel at his feet?" Elara’s blood ran cold. "Xavier, how is this possible?" she whispered, barely audible. "Nothing is impossible, Mom. We’ve been reunited, haven't we? You walked right into your own hell," he hissed intimidatingly.

Orion and Lily walks away and Hazel smiles and points at the oak tree and we wander over. "So are you a guest from the future?" She asks and I nod at her. "Yes Orion there is my mate in the future so I take in all of his memories right now" I say and look at my Orion that nods but stay still, he can hear us anyway. "High priestess Hazel, may I ask what Orion and LIly's mother was? He can't seem to remember that" Hazel looked at me and then at Orion before she tilted her head and looked at me once more. "Their mothers name was Aurora" I gasp at the revelation.

"You made your choice. I made mine." "You can't be serious. This is—this is incest or something!" "Hardly. You're not his biological son. There's no blood relation between us whatsoever." I smiled sweetly. "Which makes this perfectly acceptable. Unconventional, perhaps. But perfectly legal." Caleb looked like he might vomit. "So," I continued, "as I was saying. You should call me Mom. Or Mother, if you prefer something more formal. I'm not picky." "I will never call you that." His voice shook with rage. "Never. Do you hear me? You're nothing. A nobody from a worthless pack. You think marrying my father changes anything?"

he muttered, voice tight. Mom stumbled forward, clutching at a broken column to steady herself. Her hair which had turned white after the draining spell by Caelum was matted with soot; her glow had dimmed to almost nothing. I hurried to her side, slipping an arm under her shoulder. “Easy, Mom. You shouldn’t move.” She shook her head. “We can’t stop. Not now.” Her gaze lingered on the spot where Kyle had vanished. “He’s free. The underworld’s heart just found a host.”

My mother truly is thoughtful she is currently sitting next to the bed in a recliner reading a book to the unconscious girl. Destin and I walk into the room he seems uninterested because he dives onto the lounge and lays up while he turns the tv onto some type of sport channel. My mother looks up from the book and gives me a warm smile. She gives me a hug she squeezes me as if she does not want to let me go. She takes the girls hand in hers again my mother seems to have a connection with this girl already.
