Detective Casie Blackwood and the Moonlit Secrets

Detective Casie Blackwood and the Moonlit Secrets

As they parked, a familiar figure approached. Dr Helena Vasquez, the dhampir medical examiner, had an olive complexion paler than usual against her black coat. "Detectives," she greeted them, her accent more pronounced under stress. "The scene is... unusual. Also, in saying that, they’re are quite a few unmated males inside as part of the team, your mates are going to have to keep their wolves in check, considering the changes in your scent, Ma’am.”

Irreplaceable Rose

Irreplaceable Rose

I opened my own studio, and my days became full, vibrant, and happy. One night, Jordan stepped out of the shower, a towel slung loosely around his waist. As he turned, I caught sight of a tattoo on the small of his back. I leaned closer. It was a rose in full bloom—beside it, a little girl dancing. My fingertips trembled as I traced it, my eyes stinging. "I had it done when I was seventeen," he said softly. His gaze lowered to mine, eyes shimmering with starlight. "I wanted to keep it a secret until the day you became my bride."

His Rose

His Rose

''Dire ciao a satana per me,'' I say. Then, I walk away from her without a second glance after hearing her body drop dead onto the ground. I immediately walk down the pavement, not wanting anyone see me being there—knowing that there are no evidence of me being involved; besides, my whole family is practically involved with the mafia yet they keep it low-key. ''Elia,'' I look up to see Rose nearing me. Her blue eyes piercing into mine.

Maria Rodriguez

Maria Rodriguez

He cried. I turned to Old Grandpa. “I don't have the time to prove my innocence, Allen was the one that cheated, I caught him in bed with another woman…on my way back to report Allen I got involved in an accident…the man in the picture, he was the one that saved my life,” I defended. “Accident?” Allen scoffed. “If there was an accident we would have heard about it, you are Maria Rodriguez, who doesn't know you and besides you don't have a single scratch on your body.”

wishing for my husband's child

wishing for my husband's child

If I confronted him now, perhaps all I would achieve was to tip him off, and then, along with that pig Lorenzo, they would be capable of even ending my existence. I didn't have a valid way out; there wasn't a single plan that gave me the security of not ending up underground. Until, leaving the office for the cafeteria, fate dealt me an unexpected blow: a conversation, shouted, that pierced the walls. It was Rosalía. She was in Damián's office, and the screams echoed so loudly that anyone in that hallway could hear them. "I need my part of the inheritance, Damián, I don't have a damned cent!" she vociferated, hitting the desk with both hands.

Billionaire's Regret, Too Late!

Billionaire's Regret, Too Late!

“Since you are so sentimental and righteous, how could you be so heartless and unsympathetic to Rosa, the woman who raised her for twenty years plus, knowing that she was under the control of her devilish husband, yet you insisted she gets sent to jail.” Aurora had thought her birth mother didn’t want to see her. But Damon recently found her that the woman was sent to jail by the Diaz. He told Aurora about it. She was accused of being an accomplice of Diego. And Isobel also testified that Rosa had joined Diego in abusing her since she was a child. That was a lie. Although, Rosa knew from the start that Diego had swapped the babies, Diego had threatened to kill Isobel if Rosa ever told anyone

The Return of The Mafia Boss

The Return of The Mafia Boss

She said as she walked out of the living room, and headed towards Andrès' study. She took a deep breath in and knocked twice on the door as she waited for a response from him. "Come in," His voice echoed from behind the door. She twisted the door knob and opened the door, she walked in and greeted before anything else. "What's wrong Rosa?" Andrès asked when he noticed her facial expression. "Nothing sir, the detective is asking of you. You said he needs your presence now." Rosa replied. "Okay, thank you. I'll be down in a minute." Andrès replied.

He opened it and his eyes softened for a moment, before he gently closed it again. 𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָ𐀔 || On The Other Side || “And that’s how he got tangled in the mafia. I thought you should know, since you’re his partner. You have every right to know.” Chris finally turned his head at her. Rosa was looking at him with sad eyes. “Who was the killer?” she asked. Her voice tinged with worry. She tilted her head slightly, hinting that she already had a suspicion.

If Only He Knew | cσмρℓεтε∂

"So? Did you think about it?" "What do you think I should do?" Mia asked me. "I think-" Rose snatched phone from my hands and put it over her ears. "I advice you to let me take over this matter in my hands. I give you my words that there'll not be a single trace of any evidence left behind the murder scene and not even the experienced sons of the most fucking experienced and renowned detectives would be able to find his corpse which would be buried deep down the litters by then and about remnants, I can't guarantee you anything but if I'll feel even a little merrier after killing him then you may get the chance to recover his bones in the end. My sincerest apologies will always be with you-"

This book is so good, it makes you want to laugh, keeps you at suspense and makes you emotional at the same time. Loved the characters, each have drastic original personalities. Though the book started kind of simple and too cliche at first, it turned out to be one of my favorite reads on GoodNovel!

Sins of The Past

Sins of The Past

It might have been probably the best thing since I didn’t want them to get stressed a little bit further, with whatever would be the investigation result. It was because I had an instinct that it was not just an accident caused by malfunctioned brakes. Someone might have plotted everything, and I should get myself ready. “Nice meeting you, Mr. Evangelista. I am Chief Inspector Roland Cortez. I used to work with Diane’s late father before, so it would be better for me to investigate this case. By the way, these are SPO4 Henry Aragon and SPO3 Solomon Lopez.” Chief Inspector Cortez shook hands with me, as well as his two companions. The three all showed their badges.
