She still remembered some of the things her mother had told her. Mia shook her head, avoiding thinking too deeply about her mother. “Who cares? Does it matter?” “It does! I don’t want no deal with the Devil!” “You’re too picky, for someone who is about to become a worker in a brothel. Not only you, but your little doll of a sister.”

Garry said “Okay, then talk to you later. Take care” she said and hung up the call. She exhales the relief breathe. She is seeing my light in her dark path. Hopefully, this will pass soon. She thought she just need to get some time from him. What she doesn’t know is the devil has another plan too. She doesn’t know what the devil thinks but, the devils clearly know how his angel thinks. He is prepared for everything to claim her.

I felt his knuckle rings glide against my torso, his hand traveling up to pin my neck to the wall again almost as if he was claiming me. A stranger claiming a random lady. How unreal. “I can be your poison. I can be the one they fear. For you.” He whispered, his lip brushing against my earlobe. "I'll give you the power you desire, and take them down for you,”. "What are you talking about?” I gagged. "I can see your heart, it craves revenge. I'll get them for you, I'll get them all, just for you. Chloe Willie. Seth Finn. Martha Wilson. All of them.”.

Bernard parked his car in the driveway and killed the engine. He sat there for a moment, letting out a long breath, his hands still gripping the steering wheel. It had been a hell of a day. Between the shootout at Gianna's warehouse, dealing with the Yellows, and watching Vito navigate his complicated situation with Aiden, Bernard was exhausted. All he wanted was a cold shower and maybe a drink. Or three. He grabbed his jacket from the passenger seat and got out of the car, locking it behind him. The night air was cool, quiet. His neighborhood was one of the few places in the city where you could actually hear yourself think.

He watches me from across the room, his cigarette burning, his eyes unreadable, and waiting to see what I will do. On the fifth night, I decide. There is a man I have heard about through the network. His name is Devon, he runs a small operation on the edge of the city, buying stolen goods and reselling them to shops that do not ask questions. He is not powerful, not connected to Jerald or any of the major players. He is small time, which means he is accessible. I find him in a bar on the south side, a dark place with sticky floors and a jukebox that plays the same songs on repeat, and he sits alone at a table near the back, nursing a drink and watching the door.

Devil POV. “Devil…Satan…King of hell…” I heard a voice calling me with a giggle, I love her, I love the way she wakes me up, I had a late night last night. My last assignment isn’t an easy one, it takes most of the day and night, I’m keeping an eye on my target, but it’s not easy, my target loves late night, and loves staying up. I didn’t have any real goal, not to get dirty or to find something, just watch, I lost interest in that job fairly quickly.

They stood there for a beat, just holding one another, and Adom had to shake himself free of the strange longing that was beginning to invade his mind. "Why don't we take this to the bed," he suggested, hands beginning to tug on Win shirt. The Angel nodded and pulled it off, his own hands unbuttoning Adom jacket, but the Devil was far too impatient for that. He banished it with a flourish of magic that had Win chuckling softly. The Angel hopped up on the bed, scooting back until his back was to the pillows. Adom followed after him, crawling over that long lean body like a predator. They shared a grin before the Devil leaned over and again kissed his Angel .
