The Alpha's Troublemaker Wife is Ready to be Rejected

The Alpha's Troublemaker Wife is Ready to be Rejected

Corinne looked at Hunter, hoping he wouldn't get too annoyed with what she was about to say “If you'd like to join Penelope and spend some time with us until the situation in your territory is stabilized.” “You… You really…” Dewey blinked quickly, almost in denial, until he finally cleared his throat, sheepishly “I mean, that wouldn't be possible. I am the leader of those swans and it would be very cowardly of me to just run away and leave them alone like that. But, I thank you for your invitation. And… I apologize again for the way my daughter and I acted. When you are not a predator, like us swans, you have to keep your pride and your guard up, if you don't want someone to notice your frag

Floaters

Floaters

It wouldn’t do to let the boys see the worry that gnawed his liver. Stripped down to his undershirt, blond, broad-shouldered, muscular Dewey Haines looked like a Viking as he tirelessly heaved buckets of blood over the gunnel. The lad never seemed to get cold. Even in winter he could be seen hatless with his jacket open as he took long strides down the frozen street. On the starboard side, Patsy Kennedy of the Dove Row squids, as swarthy as Dewey was pale and as ugly as a bulldog’s ass, a head shorter than Dewey and four stone lighter, dipped his bucket and flung its contents overboard with as much determination and vigor as the bigger man. Quincy’s own City Road compatriot, Roger Ascombe, w

constantly, if only as a change from worrying about drowning. Jasper’s obsession with drowning had begun to oppress them all. He had talked so much about it that Newt had come to feel it would be almost a miracle if someone didn’t drown at every river. “Well, if we see one of them bears, Pea can stick him with that knife he keeps sharpening,” Bert Borum said. “It ought to be sharp enough to kill a dern elephant by now.” Pea took the criticism lightly. “It never hurts to be ready,” he said, quoting an old saying of the Captain’s. Call himself spent the day on the mare, weeding out the weaker stock, both cattle and horses. He worked with Deets. About noon, they were resting under a big mesqui

The Don's Damsel: Brothers Of Blood Book One

The Don's Damsel: Brothers Of Blood Book One

I gulp, and shut my mouth as there is nothing I can do to stop him right now. "Five little ducks. Went out one day. Over the hill and far away. Mother Duck said. “Quack, quack, quack, quack.” Dale screams, and I watch Dario throw his toe at him. "But only four little ducks came back." He moves, taping Dale's mouth closed. "Four little ducks. Went out one day. Over the hill and far away. Mother Duck said. “Quack, quack, quack, quack.” Dale thrashes, his scream muffled by the tape.

He's beaming. "Mommy! Daddy! The ducks are so cute! They have babies! Little baby ducks! They're so fluffy! They're so yellow! Can we get a duck? A baby duck? Please? Please, please, please? I'll take care of it! I'll feed it! I'll walk it! I'll love it forever!" "A duck?" "A pet duck! I want a pet duck! I'll name him Ducky! Or Quackers! Or Sir Feathers!"

The Billionaire's Wrong Revenge: Darling, Please Come Back

I asked. Jackson rolled his eyes in that condescending way that I absolutely hated. “You wouldn't know unless you tried it out, now would you?” I gave him a nod because I knew we were doing the D-E-F today no matter what as his plan to completely disarm me one more time. “I suppose you are right.” I muttered. . . . “Mommy, look! DUCKS!” Kelsey pointed at the ducks in the park pond. “Let's feed them!”

I looked at the other two dressed warmly in their jackets. We hopped into the taxi. It's warm inside the taxi. I don't need a jacket now. yayy! "Two little ducks went swimming one day. Over the hill and far away" I started singing at the top of my voice. "It's five little ducks silly." Reeva opposed. "We are 2 members, not 5" I disagreed. "We are three, not 2. See 1 2 3" Reeva said counting us. "No, Mandy is the mother duck who says quack-quack and we go running back to her." A silly giggle left my lips.

Sold as the Alpha King's Breeder

His ears perked up, accepting whatever silent invitation passed between us. And we were off, running into the depths of the jungle *** It had been a few hours since we left camp, and the sun was beginning to set. Duck was lapping water from a small creek we had found, panting happily as he turned from the water. He was having fun with us, and he had kept up like a champ. That boy could run, that was for sure. 'I reckon he's a greyhound. He looks like one,' Robbie said as he sniffed the air.

I adore this series. I had the privilege to read it a couple years ago on a different platform. It’s incredibly detailed with mostly likeable characters. Plus you get to follow the journey as they grow and develop over several stories. It’s well worth the time invested!

The order of the book is a little confusing, started out with a story about Ethan and Rosalie and mid way through it's like the story has jumped back to were the beginning should be. I love the story but this kinda has me scratching my head .

Madam Winters’s Fight For Her Children

Madam Winters’s Fight For Her Children

Dew was lying on the couch while eating grapes in the Daugherty family home. Ruby peeled the grapes’ skin for her while she said, “Duke asked you to play the song again? It seems that he really likes the piano. You have to cater to his taste. Learn from Ms. Alice properly. Maybe Duke will fall for you one day.” Dew smiled proudly. “I’m thinking of the same thing, but Harold is too wicked. He doesn’t allow me to play piano in the Winters family.”

Ahh! I want more! This one was a real delight. The overall flow of the story was very interesting. I so love Addy and Duke, the power couple. At times, I'll hold my breath for what to come next. It's so eventful, to say the least. Pity all good things must come to an end.

Louisa Unchained

I told Darren. Darren flicked his hand and a tiny little firework popped up on the tip of his fingers. Mr. Weasel was excited. "Do it again! Do it again!" He wrapped Darren's arm and begged. I held Darren's arm and pulled Mr. Weasel back to me. "It's strange, though," I stroked the back of his neck and said, "Why are there ducks in this area? We haven't seen a single bird in the forest." "I guess we need to ask the salamander siblings when they finish their fight," Darren shrugged and said.
