I threw a cushion at him. He caught it, smirk still there, eyes a little too warm for my comfort. Which, obviously, I ignored because acknowledging it would make it weird.
Instead, I lay back on the couch, scrolling through my phone. "By the way, I found your stupid diary the other day."
He froze mid-strum. "Which diary?"
"The one from Valentine day. Dramatic handwriting, very 'Dear Diary, today I fell in love and ate feelings for dinner' vibes."
