I told him, my voice steadying as I tried to distract myself from the storm of emotions swirling inside me. Dante watched me with tired eyes, still in a daze. “What’s your password?” I asked softly, glancing at him. He smiled faintly. “It’s your birthday.” I froze, staring at him in surprise. My birthday? He had used it as his password? A rush of warmth flooded through me, but I kept my face neutral. I typed the date in, and the phone unlocked. I didn’t say anything, but it took me a moment to collect myself before I added my number to his contacts.

It was also wrong. It wasn't Kevin's birthday, it wasn't Little Karen's birthday, and it wasn't her birthday... Then what other special numbers were there?
