He smiled faintly, unbothered. “Maybe. But I read people for a living, remember? Body language, posture, breath, it tells stories. Yours says you’re strong but tired. Confident but… guarded.”
“Wow,” I said, folding my arms, partly to hide the sudden shiver running down my spine. “You always psychoanalyze your students like this, or am I just lucky?”
He laughed, rubbing the back of his neck. “Only the ones who make me curious.”
