He usually carried three cards with him. One was his personal card, which he had never used before. Black, sleek, and plain, it bore no code name or markings to identify it as a card. Only when he scratched the edge would a number appear, and calling that number meant one thing—he wanted to strike a deal that could be outrageous. It could contain even figures Adrian didn’t know yet, but he understood what it was capable of. With it, he could order anything—even futuristic things that weren’t public yet. But he chose not to use that.

He finally convinces me to go on a few rides with him, and I agree, doing my best to hide my excitement, although I'm sure he sees right through me. As we make our way to one of the attractions, I spot Emma running towards us. She slows down when she sees us, her face flushed. "Hey, do you have any money I can borrow? I ran out of mine," she says, slightly out of breath. I reach for my purse to give her some cash, but Devon has already handed her his card. "Oh, a black card," Emma mutters as she holds it, her eyes widening in surprise. "The PIN is 2345. Have fun," Devon tells her. She winks at him before darting off, making it impossible for me to reach out to her.

"Got one!" Rana yelled. She snatched a diamond card with a written '6' on it. "Here!" Megera shouted next as he pulled out a heart card with a written '3' on it. I found the next one, a spades with the number '0' on it. But the last one was nowhere to be found. We turned every single card over. "It's not here. They must've forgotten it!" Rana fearfully said.

She reads it aloud as Sera reads it internally. "Strength." A breath escapes Sera's lips. The card depicts an angel taming a lion. She finds herself wondering what someone would need that kind of strength for. "You're going to develop this innate sense of, not only strength, but courage as well. Within you, lies the patience and control to handle any situation thrown your way." Anna draws another breath and flips over yet another card. She places the card above the last one, her hands begin to shake a little. "The Devil." The hairs on the back of Sera's neck stand at attention.

Once he did, the orb glowed slightly. “Whoa~” The orb then shot out a laser like beam out of its bottom and engraved something on the card, like a printer. “This thing will automatically read everything about you. Once it does, it will print out all the necessary data onto this card.” Yuki explained. “I see.” After a few more seconds, the orb stopped glowing. The receptionist then grabbed the card and inspected it. “Matthew Dragunov is it?” “Yes, that’s me.”

“Isn't there something else you wanted to tell me?” With Angelo sobbing behind me, I try to remember what he's talking about. A few seconds pass and he sighs in exasperation. “Here,” he takes out a card from his jacket and hands it over to me. “You'll be needing my services soon,” I stare at the card. A black, matte, expensive looking business card with only a name and a phone number. Devil of Deals. “I'll be expecting your call, sister-in-law,” he practically purrs, his voice dripping with conviction.

Including the Card's passcode at that. However, what caught his attention was the certain information given about the creator of the Card that says: [Creator: Helix Nebula Pavilion] But that wasn't what intrigued him, it was the next texts provided by the system. [Error! The System has no information about the Helix Nebula Pavilion] What does that mean? The Scan Skill has idenfied the Card's Creator but it can't provide further information about it? The system clearly stated that it can provide information to the things that was seen, heard and identified by humans.

I need ALL the details! Me: Deal. I set my phone aside and looked at the black card again. The only marking on it was the name of an exclusive bank and "Aiden Carter" embossed in raised letters that matched the card's matte black finish. What game was Aiden Carter playing? And more importantly, why did I feel like I was losing even though I didn't understand the rules?
