Digital Libraries Book Novels & Stories

Those I now kept in my personal safe; away from everyone. The last book was more of a theory book. Random thoughts that she was looking into it. Or had done research on in the past. These I did share with Vale. Some of them were silly. The major one cropping up with the library of Alexandria and the possibility that it had survived. Vale even knew of this slight obsession but not to the extent that she had been searching for it in her free time. However, one theory had taken us not just by surprise, but shook us to the core.

Well, what she could see of the interior because the library was stretched out and even had stirs to go up and down and all around. “It’s just like the one in beauty and the beast, but more!” Delilah exclaimed and ran into the place. “This would have been worth giving my humanity up for, if only Oriel had added living in this library to his offers, then I would have considered taking him as my mate.” Delilah sighed as she scanned the areas, looking for the ones on the supernatural creatures she lived with. “But he didn’t. His loss.” Delilah grinned when she saw the shelves dedicated to demons in the supernatural section. She randomly picked out a book.

“For a newer book, yes. For something this old, we might be looking for a stone tablet and a chisel.” The librarian proved Chrissy only partially wrong. The academy had preserved its old lending ledgers, then transferred most of them into a searchable database. The woman behind the desk frowned when Chrissy provided the title. “That volume is reference only,” she said. “Has it always been?” I asked. “For at least the last forty years.” She entered the title into her computer, and the screen filled with a short list. “The volume has been accessed twice in the last decade,” she said. “The most recent request came from Professor Mansfield. The earlier one was eight years ago.”

That is my destination. I don't fancy digital libraries. Not that they are wack or not to my taste, not that I am being archaic. It's just– there's something about being able to lay your hand on books. A real life book you can smell, feel with the tip of your fingers as you turn pages. That is why I frequent here all the time. Over the years, the amount of library attendance in here has reduced and this was solely caused by the establishment of the digital library which everyone now frequents.

Which only made it more irritating. Her gaze moved toward the small stack of books sitting on the corner of her desk — mostly art books and a few random novels she hadn’t finished yet. None of them would help, at least not in this case. Maybe the internet just wasn’t the right place to look. Arabella tapped her fingers lightly against the arm of her chair as the idea slowly formed. Libraries had records the internet didn’t. Old texts. Language archives. Historical dictionaries. She remembered once hearing that the university library downtown had an entire section dedicated to ancient languages and forgotten dialects.

There was a deafening silence the moment I enter the library just as I expected, this is the place that I go with every time I have free time because not everyone goes here, students don't fancy coming into the library anymore and do their research here since google is already available in just a tap of a finger. I went to the far-end corner of the library where I hide an old and very outdated book entitled 'Werewolves Anatomy'. This book is the reason why I keep on coming back to this library, the librarian doesn't let me borrow this book, she said that if I want to read it then I need to read it inside the library since the book is expensive and a limited edition, that being said, I don't

I would keep that in mind. “Only you would keep your library in a box.” Dahlia picked up a blue book in the “History and Knowledge” section. He asked "Yes I do." "Then I think I may be able to help you," he said with a smile. "May I?" He asked as he stretched forth his hand and I took it happily and walked with him to the back of the library. As we walked closer I saw a bunch of youths sitting down with laptops, reading. "The library has a digital section?" I asked him. "Every library has it but most people who don't visit the library often do not know about it." He said as he approached one of the laptop that was still occupied.
