Dinner for Two, Death for One

Dinner for Two, Death for One

If you're to be trusted, you'd use the lead to find out more useful information. Felix clenched his fists as he chastised me, "And if I were their accomplice?" I shook my head, my gaze untroubled. "Then, the truth would stay buried." A long silence filled the air. … Eventually, I looked at Felix. "What did you manage to dig out?" Felix grabbed his tablet and played some footage. The first part was the restaurant where I ran into Shawn.

ONE NIGHT STAND WITH MY PROFESSOR

ONE NIGHT STAND WITH MY PROFESSOR

Blackwood looked even sadder at night. Rainwater reflected neon signs across empty sidewalks while distant thunder rolled above the rooftops. Most people stayed indoors during storms like this, leaving the streets strangely quiet. The diner itself smelled like coffee, fried food, and old memories. Mrs. Delgado immediately shoved an apron into my hands the second I walked inside. “You still remember how to carry plates without killing someone?” “Probably.” “Good enough.” The shift was painfully boring. A few truck drivers. Two old women gossiping near the windows. A tired couple arguing quietly over pie.

Married at First Sight

Married at First Sight

He said, “Someone’s leaving, Dr. Jones. Please wait for a moment. You two can sit after we clean up the table. “What would you like to eat today, Dr. Jones?” The boss’s wife was already cleaning the table. Sheila and Alex walked over. She replied, “I want two sausage sets and two glasses of soy milk.” “Okay.” After the boss’s wife cleared the table, she wiped the surface several times, rearranged the chairs, and then let Alex and Sheila sit. Once seated, Sheila told Alex, “I’ve eaten everything on this street, and this diner still serves the best sausages. It’s meaty and big.

Thus far the book ... was compelling but disappointed that there is no ending to the novel. I planned on reading another book after this but with this experience why would I since there might not be and ending to that one as well! Bummer! Please do better so you don’t loose customers in the future.

Sinful Visions of the Mafia

Sinful Visions of the Mafia

Since it was supposed to be closed then Lisa shouldn’t have been able to enter it and if she had then it could only mean two things. First, either she had booked the whole diner which I don’t think would be something that she would do and the second was that maybe she was dating the owner of the diner. But the last time that I had been here I remember it being owned by an old man. Deciding to take a closer look I bought a candy floss from the nearby stall and using the big shield to hide my face I inched closer to the glass walls of the diner, grateful for them. Through the glass I saw the dimly lit Diner host one person whose side profile was hidden by a phone next to his ear while the man

The Wild King

The Wild King

All the black gone. "I trust you with my life. I always had. You know. Just go in with one of the boys. Please Myeengun. You're scaring me." I plead. "Okay. Dial. Now. Say that a woman is bleeding in the kitchen of the Diner." He says turning back "Logan, come here for a second." After King, Logan is the biggest of the boys, well-toned, buff body. It was a good choice. I dial and replied what he said to me to the lady that answered my call.

The Art of Life and Love: The First Spark

The Art of Life and Love: The First Spark

It was a chilly but clear night and the energy of the holidays was still thankfully in the air. Tony swung by a state store first armed with his fake ID. He came out with a pint of Fireball and a pint of this stuff called 'Rumchata' and a cream soda. An odd combination if ever there was one. The Rumchata looked like milk. At last they reached the Collegeville Diner. Dillon really wanted a Belgian waffle and at least one thing from the bakery case. Tony had never been to the Collegeville Diner, which made sense since he really had no reason to ever go in the direction of Collegeville to start with. Hopefully it would mark the town on Tony's map after he tried their food. It really was that go

Blackmailing Audrey

She sighs, “But I invited you to lunch.” I chuckle, “And I know the food here is good. You can still pay if you want.” I wink. Audrey laughs, “Sure, Terry. You pick the food and I pay.” Her laugh is contagious, and I can’t help but stare at her for a moment until I switch lanes. “What’s the diner called?” she asks. “It’s called Gloria's diner. It has breakfast, lunch, and dinner items on the menu. It’s my favorite because no matter what time of day it is, you can always get something you crave.”

He Wants Me More After Divorce

He Wants Me More After Divorce

Somewhere around Half Moon Bay I put my hand on his thigh. He put his hand over mine. The car smelled like my coffee from the morning, still in the cup holder, cold. We stopped at a diner when the gas light came on. It was a low white building with a red roof and a parking lot full of grit. The counter was formica, the stools red vinyl with cracked seams, the pie case lit from above with three kinds—apple, cherry, something coconut. Our waitress was called Diane. She wrote our order on a little green pad without asking for anything twice.

Toast With Jelly: The Tragedy of a Lesbian Confused

For one full decade, still shy and introverted, she showed up faithfully to serve breakfast in Pete’s run down greasy diner with the faulty sign and undesirable clientele. Damp wind raced past her in as she slipped, relatively unnoticed, through behind the thick glass door and into the diner’s small foyer. Pete was barking orders at Sylvia, while she pushed her buxom body through a small crowd of people waiting at the register to pay their bill. Sylvia spotted Pam and took just a brief moment to assess her appearance. She shook her head and clucked her tongue as she sped past to a crowded booth in the corner of the room where she dispensed the dishes from her overly laden tray.
