I had to find out what she was hiding. ———————————————— AURORA The room was dim, the only light coming from the fire in the corner. Beatrice stood by the window, her eyes lost in the night. The change in her was obvious. Cedric’s disappearance had broken something inside her, and she wasn’t the same anymore. "We tried to control a storm," I said softly. "Now it’s consuming everything." Beatrice didn’t turn to me, her back still to the window. She just nodded slowly.

“Alright. Fine. Do what you want to do.” She gave up, and Beatrice let it go, not her plan, but she is left with no other choice. She needed to save herself from the wrath of Hiro and especially from the organization. Things turn out not at all and even a little of her plan, worst with Francis getting out of hand and asserting dominance that they once equally shared. She chooses to save herself, walk away and seek refuge in the organization where she will take advantage of Hiro’s favor in exchange for the past. Her trump card is to stay alive and start all over again.

“I am not Mane for no reason and I am not stupid when it comes to my daughter and after what she set Elizabeth up for and now with you here it all makes sense.” Beatrice gets to her feet and walks over to the cabinet in the corner. She opens it and pulls out 2 small scotch glasses, placing them on the pullout drawer before then reaching back into the cabinet and pulling out a decanter of orange liquid. She pours some into each glass, returns the decanter and then picks up the glasses as she walks back over, handing one to Graves. They both down the orange liquid in one before Beatrice says,

And I heard they've known each other since they were kids. She kept talking, but I turned and walked away. I couldn't bear to hear another word. Knowing that the man I had dated for years was about to marry someone else cut deep. At that moment, the office door swung open. Declan walked in with Beatrice in tow. Everyone stood as soon as they entered. "Good morning!" Beatrice greeted brightly. She looked radiant, nothing like someone who was supposed to be dying of cancer. Declan wrapped an arm around her waist, smiling warmly. "Let me introduce you all. This is Beatrice Porter. She'll be our new CTO."

I don't have a choice but to agree with him by nodding my head. “I know I did terrible things with you and I just want to let you know how sorry I am for that. Christina succeeded in manipulating me, making me believe that you didn't love me at all but then I found out the truth. I already knew that she did something to me and I made her pay for that. Christina will never disturb us anymore. No one will disturb the two of us because I'm not letting anyone separate us from each other. They cannot take you away from me and now that I'm finally back to myself. I will protect you. Just give me another chance to prove to you how sorry I am, Beatrice.”

And he squinted his eyes after hearing his name from Beatrice. With a surprised look Draven asked. "What is that?" Beatrice took a step forward and held Draven's hand. "You want to make her fall then you can hijack her company right?" She began to laugh menacingly but it was cut short after Draven effortlessly pulled his hand out from hers.

I stopped breathing and Nathan looked at me, "What?" I pointed, "Mia." He stared at the screen and for a few seconds, neither of us spoke. Then Nathan leaned forward, "Can you enlarge it?" I enlarged it. The image wasn't perfect, but the name was unmistakable. Mia. My hands began shaking. "Beatrice was communicating with her." Nathan's expression hardened. "Apparently." I swallowed. "She helped her." "We need to know exactly how." I opened another recording. This time, Beatrice was meeting someone outside the mansion.

She muttered, not taking her eyes off him. She stared keenly. "Could this lady with him be his girlfriend or his wife?". Remembering What Zach did to her, she became angry. "He ruined my life, and he thinks he can live happily...No, No, Beatrice is back." She saw him and the lady enter a car, and without thinking twice she also entered hers. When Zach's car moved, Beatrice also started hers, she drove after him.

It was Vivian She was wearing a long, expensive black trench coat, Her hair was perfectly styled despite the rain, but her face was pale, her dark eyes flashing with a mix of desperate anger and pure malice. “Darien,” she said, her voice sharp enough to draw the attention of the security guards nearby. “Get out of my way, Vivian,” I growled, not slowing down as I tried to brush past her. “I don't have time for your games today.”
