Damian, even thinking‌ his name makes somethi‌ng shift uneasily i‍nside me. I slip ou⁠t of⁠ bed and gathe‌r my journal from the sm‌all bag I brought with‌ me. It is worn a⁠t the edges, the pages slightly wr⁠inkled from being stuffed into too many‌ tigh⁠t spaces. It is the‍ one thin‌g th‍a‍t has stayed co⁠nstant⁠ throug‌h eve⁠rything. When my world spins out of control, I write, Ink is st⁠eadi‍er than thoughts and paper is m‌ore forgiving than⁠ memor‍y.

Henry**** The journal felt heavy in my hands, its worn leather cover cracked with age, the Dark Moon Alpha's insignia etched faintly on the surface. My heart raced as I opened it, the musty scent of time wafting from the yellowed pages. I want to go to one of our elders and ask for some help but that will have to wait because I have one Journal I have been dying to read every since I transported the books home last night. I woke up with a lot on my mind but this journal has proven to be helpful in a way. Especially one entry dated a little over a thousand years ago. It was just as old as the others but this one was still jn good conditions. I opened it and the book was blank. I knew then that it was an enchanted journal and that it had been spelled. The journals, crammed with every prank I could remember. I had almost the full book memorised, each page springing to life with their boyish handwriting. The black journal, the one with his scoring I made sure that was just as fully visualised. The sweet and the sour of his nature needed preserving.

One of the Moonborn asked, "What judgment?" Before I could explain, one of the pack members called out, "You need to see this." She was holding a metal box that had survived the fire. I recognized it, recognized the pattern of runes carved into the metal. Nelly had shown me something once. My hands shook as I opened it, and inside I found a leather journal. Nelly's journal. Dante's voice came from behind me. "That is her journal."

She was just happy to be by his side. Eventually, they arrived at a small café on the corner of a busy street. The man led her inside and ordered two cups of coffee. As they sat down at a table, he turned to her and said, "I have something to show you." Jewel looked at him curiously as he pulled out a small notebook from his pocket. "This is my dream journal," he explained. "Whenever I have a dream that feels important, I write it down in here." Jewel leaned in closer, fascinated. "Can I see?" she asked.

She opened the journal. The entries were old. Dated at least seven or eight years ago. Kandrix’s handwriting was youthful, more fluid than it was now, but she could easily recognize it. The first few pages were filled with little notes about training, pack politics, and sparring reports. But as she flipped further in, the tone changed. “She danced like autumn—wild and uncatchable. Her hair caught fire in the sun, and I knew I’d chase that light into the grave if I had to.”
