Their eyes meet, glowing with the intensity of the wild, as they circle each other, their playful growls turning into low, rumbling purrs. After a while of the wolves playing around we start running back where we came from. We shift and wear our clothes. “That was fun. "Hey, I know you, the small bad pups," I called excitedly, snapping my fingers, and the wolves purred again in response.

She could recall details of their fur, but the wolf in front of her was not familiar, and as it lifted its lips with a growl, Purity stood frozen. With the color of a moonless night, the wolf’s fur was so black it almost had a blue sheen. The golden eyes that stared up at her were not friendly, but something about the gray that lined the entire eye made it look feminine. Purity realized this must be the female wolf they were talking about. “It’s you!” she exclaimed, and without another thought, Purity launched herself through the door and wrapped her arms around the female wolf's neck. Fahla coughed, shocked and totally taken aback by this human's reaction.

He probably shifted to come and find me. The wolf approached me, and I instinctively knelt down for him. He moved closer, standing just in front of me. Our faces were only inches apart, and I could see a soft twinkle in his eye, almost like he was smiling. He let out a low purr and, without warning, he licked my face. I giggled and patted his head, and seeing how he let me pet him, I decided to lean in and wrap my arms around his neck. He vibrated into my ear as his purr deepened, and I snuggled into his luxuriously soft fur. He was so warm and comforting I could have easily curled up with him on that woodland floor and fallen asleep.

She was still sleeping soundly, her head resting comfortably against my chest, as I looked down to check on her with a small smile. Suddenly she seemed to snuggle in a little deeper into my embrace, a smile upon her face, before a small purring noise hit my ears. I paused momentarily as we reached the bottom of the stairway. ‘Did she just purr?’ Zion asked me incredulously. My heart was pounding at the thought. ‘Well, I would assume that would be her wolf, but I think so. I am pretty certain that is what it sounded like.’ I told him in shock. Did that mean her wolf liked my company?

The wolf purred at the response of his mate. He then started licking all her wounds. Gradually, they all started to fade away. Sienna moaned, feeling his rough tongue dancing over her body. Involuntarily, her core secreted the fluids, inviting him to explore her hidden treasure. The wolf breathed and let out a guttural growl. He licked down her belly and tended to her thigh. Once all the wounds were closed, he slowly moved to her inner thigh.

Every time it exhaled, a warm puff of air hit my knee. I should have been calling animal control or panicking about the size of the teeth currently resting inches from my stomach. Instead, I just traced my thumb along the line of its jaw. The wolf shifted slightly, and a low, rumbling sound vibrated deep in its chest. It wasn't a growl. It felt more like a heavy purr, vibrating right into my bones. "You must be freezing from sitting out in that rain," I whispered into the quiet room. The wolf flicked one large ear toward my voice but didn't lift its head.

My mate is feeding me. I start purring involuntarily, she gives me a cute grin back and puts another cracker in my mouth. [“Are you purring at me?”] Anders asks with pure amusement. [“No.”] I lie. [“Yes you were, you involuntarily purr linked me. I’m going to assume Wills did something that you wolf is liking.”] He accuses and I can see him in my head jumping up and down pointing his finger at me.
