She turned off the lights, and the moonlight cast a silver glow in the room. The dim light added to the cold atmosphere. Sophia had good night vision. She could clearly see that Elliot had turned toward her and was watching her. But she did not care. She just would not look at him. When she turned her back, she heard him say, "You’re a doctor, but you’re scared of ghosts." Sophia raised an eyebrow with a wry smile. "What does being a doctor have to do with being afraid of ghosts?" Elliot said, "Aren't doctors used to life and death?"

“All right. You return to the king’s quarters. I’ll send for the doctor at once, and he will meet you there.” I thank him graciously and head back to the king’s room, where I stand outside in the hallway and wait for the doctor. It’s only a few minutes before he arrives, a short, white-haired man with thick glasses and a medical bag that looks as if it should be too heavy for him. “Doctor Bromley,” he introduces himself without waiting for me to ask. “Here to see the Alpha King.” I push open the doors and gesture for him to enter first. He briskly walks over to the king’s bedside and takes a deep and reverent bow.

The doctor continued, addressing the unspoken accusations hanging in the air. "I suppose you have a purpose for being here. Are you planning to report me or revoke my medical license? Is that why you've waltzed into my sanctuary?" The doctor's words dripped with a mix of defiance and curiosity. Richard, grappling with the shock of his capture, had inadvertently stumbled upon the dark secrets hidden behind the façade of a respected medical professional. The doctor's atrocities unfolded before him – a macabre symphony of patient murders at the behest of guarantors, unauthorized abortions carried out callously.

He jerked awake so hard the doctor actually cursed out loud, which honestly felt validating because at least I was not the only one internally screaming. “What the hell,” the doctor said, staring at his fingers like they had personally betrayed him. Victor blinked once. Then twice. Then looked around like he had just woken up from the best nap of his undead life. I looked at everyone else. Alex mouth was slightly open. The doctor stuttered and started shuffling around the office, his brain was disoriented. “What are you waiting for?!” Peter yelled and the doctor ran out of the office like a mice being chase by a bug furry cat. The two brothers can be really scary without even trying. Denis heaved a loud sigh but not of relief. He plumped himself on the doctor's chair, it had wheels. He turned to face a nervous Peter that was beginning to bite down on his nails, a habit he thought he got rid of. “You don’t think Kelsey took those pills, do you?”

Sometimes, I have this inkling feeling that he’s trying to help us. But, for what? I try not to focus on the darkness, as I shut my eyes. -- The doctor’s office is large; it smells of drugs and syringes. I don’t particularly like hospitals; it makes me so damn sick. The doctor, a man in his early fifties with graying hair and a polite smile keeps saying, “It’s such a miracle! In all my fifty-five years of living, I never would have expected to see a Primordial wolf sitting opposite me.”

Doctor Seth answered, and he stood beside the bed. "What the hell happened to me? I have felt such pain I had felt in my head," King Spencer said, staring directly at the doctor. Doctor Seth sighed deeply, and he drags his eyes downward as he contemplated how to spew the words to the king. "Seth?" King Spencer called, frowning at him as he gazed curiously at him. He knew the young doctor was trying to hide something from him. "Tell me what it is, Seth" he eventually demanded.

Draven ordered, his voice steady and unwavering as he stepped forward. The doctor hesitated, his hands shaking. “Are you sure, Vampire King?” the doctor asked cautiously, eyes flickering with doubt. Draven’s eyes darkened dangerously as he stared the man down. “I don’t like repeating myself. Unless you’ve suddenly developed a problem with your ears… do you have a problem with your ears?” His voice was low, lethal. The doctor swallowed hard, quickly shaking his head. “No, Vampire King. I hear you perfectly.”

Doc thinks about it, nodding in agreement. “Odds are he left the door open to draw attention to the scene. He did the same thing before he left here. We need to deal with this before he comes after another one of us,” he replies in a hushed voice. “Are we any closer to knowing why Duncan’s doing this?” Doc asks. “I think I slept with Sophia,” I stutter, walking him away from the window and out of Ava’s view. “It happened months ago before I got serious about my therapy. I was drunk, and so was she, but I can’t remember if it was Sophia or not.”
