Does Amelia Shepherd Die Novels & Stories

Not from him, not from anyone. No matter how good-looking he was and what feelings I felt inside of me when I saw her, she had to die if I see her again. It just had to be this way. (End of Alex POV) Amelia POV: - Slowly I woke with this raging headache drumming in my head. Slowly I touched the ground to feel what I was laying on and I quickly figured it some sort of bed. I didn't know where I was or what had happened really. Everything in my head was clouded

“And what do you call hiding? Safe? Strong? I won’t let fear control me again.” I pinched the bridge of my nose. “I’m trying to protect you.” “And I’m trying to live,” she whispered. “You don’t understand.” Before I could answer, she hung up. The fight replayed in my head all afternoon, souring every meeting. By evening, I was back at my office, the city lights stretching past the windows. I almost left my phone on the desk, but a notification stopped me cold. I clicked and the headline snapped into focus: ‘Who is Amelia Steele Really? New Evidence Ties Her to Mysterious Husband’s Death Years Ago.’

“If it wasn’t me… then someone else wanted him dead. And whoever it is, they’re far more dangerous than us.” CLEVER-LAND HOSPITAL Amelia’s hands shook as the doctor looked down, her voice soft and heavy. “I’m… I’m so sorry, ma’am. We did everything we could. But he didn’t make it.” Amelia’s eyes went wide. Her lips trembled. “No,” she whispered, shaking her head over and over. “No, that’s not true. You’re lying!” Her voice broke into a scream that echoed through the hallway. “You’re lying! He can’t be dead!”

I still didn’t know what I was being accused of, but those words – the end – hit me worse than anything else Jake had said. “Where is Amelia?” I asked. “I need to see her.” “You can’t,” Jake said. “Why?” I demanded, feeling like my whole life laid on the line here, depending on his answer. Jake looked me in the eye. “Amelia is dead.” Jake’s POV

“I wish I could blame Granny’s behavior on her dementia, but I’m afraid she’s always been a domineering harridan.” “Did she kill Deirdre?” Amy asked. Amelia put her hand over her heart and gasped. “Was Deirdre’s body found?” “No,” I replied. “I didn’t mean to be ghoulish.” Amelia handed me a cup of tea. “I’ve been waiting for the day my suspicions are confirmed.” “What suspicions?” I stirred the contents of my cup. “I’ve always thought poor Deirdre was murdered,” Amelia said. “She loved Andy and her baby.” She smiled at Amy. “She never would have left either of you behind.”

“After today… you’ll never see me again.” Leaning on Susie, I turned to leave. But suddenly—James grabbed my arm. His grip was tight, his eyes flashing with something I couldn’t quite place. “What do you mean?” His voice was sharp, urgent. “What do you mean—never again?” I tilted my head back, fighting the tears threatening to fall. Susie couldn’t hold back anymore. She broke down, screaming through her sobs. “Amelia is dying. “Are you satisfied now?!”

As soon as she opened the door, she saw Carl sitting on the sofa waiting for her. "You haven't slept yet?" Amelia walked slowly to his side. Carl looked back, a faint smile on his lips: "I was waiting for you. So, did you find Janet?" Mentioning Janet, Amelia's eyes darkened: "Janet has been killed. I was too late." Carl's gaze fell on the girl's stunning face: "That's truly a shame. The only people you can't save are those who have stopped breathing." Amelia's eyes were calm: "It must have happened a couple of days ago. If I'd found her sooner, she might not have been tortured to death."

Amelia is dead. Even though she had contemplated multiple times about taking her own life along with Isabella, in the face of death, she felt fear and regret. Reflecting on her life, Amelia's heart turned cold. She thought to herself that if she hadn't been greedy, she wouldn't have ended up in this situation. Even without anyone's love, she would still be the envied Miss Turne. Amelia pleaded for mercy from Karl, but it was too late. Amelia was strangled to death by Karl.

“About how he changed. How he’s good now. And I wanted to believe it. But I can’t. Because my brother is dead. And Kael killed him.” “I’m sorry for your loss. But if you don’t have proof—” “I don’t need proof to know the truth. And I thought you should know too. That the man you love. The man you’re building a life with. He’s killed more people than you know. And someday, it’s going to catch up to him.” She left. Amelia sat at the signing table. Hands shaking. Another death. Another secret. Another piece of Penking’s past. Was it true? Had he killed Catherine’s brother?

My heart pounded in my chest as I realized that she was picking up the shovel. I initially thought she was about to start digging the grave they planned on throwing me in, but when I felt the cold, hard metal of the shovel press against my head, I knew I was wrong. She stood over me, her face twisted with a sick sense of satisfaction. "Goodbye, Amelia," she whispered, almost lovingly. The first blow from the shovel landed with a sickening thud, and a pain I couldn't explain in words exploded through my head, making me lose my breath.
