Livie’s POV The rest of the morning, Molly, Selene, and I talked. Mostly them, but still. I learned that Rick also lost his mom through a rogue attack. He and Molly were just weeks old when that happened, so they have absolutely no memory of her. If it weren't for pictures his dad kept, they would have never learned what she looked like, but from what Molly tells me, she was beautiful.

The room seemed to tilt, the lamplight flickering as if mirroring my shock. “He’s been hunting vampires for five years?” I asked, my voice barely audible, the weight of his obsession settling like a stone in my chest. “Do you know who killed her?” Caroline hesitated, her lips parting, then closing, her eyes darting to the floor as if the truth was too heavy to speak. The silence stretched, the distant hum of the refrigerator the only sound, until she finally spoke, her voice low and reluctant. “Rohan told me he found the man who killed Rachel. That was the night I kicked him out.”

She had destroyed them with her own hands. At that moment, Spencer Shaw rushed in, sobbing, his voice sharp with grief. "Ms. Stevens! Mr. Stevens… he couldn't be saved!" Then he saw Rick cowering behind Clara. His eyes widened as if they might split apart. "It was you! You murderer! Your car hit Mr. Stevens—I saw the surveillance footage! I'm calling the police! You'll be arrested!" It all came rushing back to him—the hit-and-run vehicle he had seen on the cameras… it was Rick's.

But before we could enjoy what we had started any deeper, we were disturbed. “Teyana!” Carol’s voice echoed from the staircase, the call sounded so urgent and uncomfortable. Jeremy and I broke apart instantly. The door flew open. “Te—” Carol stopped short when she saw Jeremy. “What is it?” I demanded. “Why are you yelling?” She turned to Jeremy, eyes blazing. “Does she know?” Jeremy frowned, realizing the question was directed at him. “Know what?” “You don’t get to keep doing this to her,” Carol snapped, confusing me further. “We almost lost her the last time because of whatever you and Chris were involved in!”

Because suddenly, this night that had seemed synonymous with freedom felt like the start of a dangerous game. And I had no idea who was on which side of the chessboard. I moved to the edge of the bed and sat up, gripping the mattress. “Did he say anything else?” “No,” Caroline replied. “Just that you were with a man named Rick. He seemed… irritated. Not furious yet. But on his guard.” I swallowed. “Did he say who Rick is?” “Exactly,” she said. “He didn’t. And that’s why I’m calling you.” I closed my eyes.

Tony called as he hugged her and she moved towards Rick to hug him also. "How are you doing? I hope that punk is treating you well?" Rosie laughed as she nods her head 'No' . Leaving the guys to have some privacy she carried Mason and left "What's wrong" Tony asked seeing how tensed Edwardo was now "What's up, speak up!" Rick pressured Seeing how the guys were pressuring him he dropped the bombshell "Carl is Alive!!" Everything happened so fast that day that we didn't focus on him

Looking very nervous. “What’s going on?” Sylas asked. “What are you doing here, Carla?” “You two should sit down,” Rick told us. Sylas took my hand and led me to the chairs by the desk. Carla came over from the window where she had been waiting. She twisted her hands in front of her as she took a deep breath. “Carla, you obviously have something to tell us,” Sylas said. “Just say it.” She took a deep breath. “Carson is dead,” she stated. “He’s been murdered.”

Carlos explained with a lost fearfulness in his voice. “No, man, you didn’t kill her and you weren’t supposed to shoot her. You were only supposed to take her son. The lady is still alive, and she’s in the hospital. Princess Death Row sent her men to kill you. You and Ms. Smith need to get the f*ck out of here.” Ricky had been waiting to tell Carlos that he needed to escape while looking at him and Amber through wide eyes. The teenager patted his hand on Carlos’ leg, feeling sorry for his friend and praying to God that he was warning him in time.

Carol guessed Aria might be at Kane's apartment, but with tight security, she couldn't get in unless Gabriella helped her like last time. Unable to take it out on Aria, Carol turned her attention to Aria's family. Luckily, Carol had a contact in HR and asked the front desk to connect her to someone from HR she knew. Soon, that person came out to meet her. "Carol, is that really you? Weren't you—" The woman stared, disbelief written all over her face. Carol pulled her into a shadowed corner. "Yes, it's me. The news was wrong. I'm still alive."

I reach my office and to my surprise, Caleb was sitting there. “When did you come?” I ask him and sit in my chair. “When you were busy with your morning exercise.” He says with a smirk. I remember Evan mind-linked me when we were in the bathroom. But I was so immersed in pleasure I told him I was busy. “Any news?” I ask, and he nods. “I tried to call Cristina many times but her phone was unreachable,” he says. “Rick may have done something,” I say. “I also think so. But tomorrow she will come to our pack for our parents’ anniversary,” he says.
