(10 years ago) (Tracy’s Pov) “Where is the document I asked for Tracy?” Claire's voice called out from her office. But that wasn't what stole my attention, He did, there he stood, all dressed in that perfectly tailored suit. That brown hair and green eyes were so alluring. I felt numb, Grabbing hold of the printer machine for support. “By the heavens, Is that a Greek god, maybe the brother of Eros, God of love?” A co-worker of mine said as she stood beside Me.

That vibration. Faint. But unmistakable. Power. Ancient. Rare. The Echo. For years the world had been quiet. Too quiet. The Council had hunted every trace of it down. Every rumor. The Hierarch’s echo. "Mine," the echo hisses, a sound like tearing metal. "My power. My destiny. You are thieves." Psychic force slams into us. Not physical. A wave of pure, arrogant will, demanding submission. The Child staggers, their balancing field flickering. The echo ignores them. Its gaze locks onto me. Onto the churning sea of power I contain. The Donald-echo knows everything the real Donald knows about magic plus centuries of knowledge it absorbed from the Void Born. It helps us strengthen our defenses and teaches the key-children how to control their powers. The Kate-echo, stripped of the cruelty that defined the real Kate, shows genuine remorse and works tirelessly to find weaknesses in the entities’ seals. "Quinn, move!" His eyes flashed gold as he shifted back to human form, sweat glistening on his skin. His gaze was fierce, unyielding—and locked on me. Panic clawed at my chest, but I shoved it down. The Echo growled low, its presence dark and menacing, creeping closer with every breath. My hands shook, and the power inside me roared, desperate to be unleashed. But fear gripped me tighter. I didn't know how to use this power. I didn't know how to stop the Echo.

Atlas waited patiently for them to regain their composure before continuing. “Which brings us into the biggest revelation.
