Eloise’ POV A smile curled from Vince’s lips. “Is that so?” Tyrone’s shoulders squared. His voice was steady, but I could hear the pain woven into every word. “Eloise and I… we have a child. A hybrid.” I froze. Time seemed to stand still as Tyrone’s words echoed in my head. “Tyrone…” My voice broke, a desperate whisper. He refused to meet my gaze. “You want a hybrid?” he continued, addressing Vince. “She’s here. Take her and leave the rest of us alone.”

When Tyler tried to move, he discovered he was pinned to the wall, unable to lift a finger. He was completely immobile. His shocked eyes moved over to Aurora. He had never seen her look so furious. Her eyes were glowing crimson pools and she was glaring at him. It was her hybrid powers, he realized with astonishment. But he had to do everything to stop her from going into the underground room. It was the promise he made to Henry, that he would never let Aurora see him in that state.
