Torn Between Monsters
His words were ice-cold, but I smiled anyway.
"Why didn’t you go ahead and bite me? I thought you were really going to do it."
"Show up in front of me covered in blood again and I'd do it, since you want it so badly," he said, and I chuckled.
"Your dog is really so cute," I grinned, but it was a lie.
The dog was far from being cute. It looked like it had crawled out of a horror movie, with its jet-black fur, unblurred glowing eyes, and a face only its owner could love.
