“It’s a dog. Big. Black. Mean. A Doberman. It wants to eat me.” I screamed, trying to climb higher on his chest. “Where are you trying to climb? Do I look like a tree?” His voice was sharp as he tightened his grip to keep balance, pulling a small moan from me. “He’s calm. Friendly. He has never attacked anyone… unless I give him the order,” he said reassuringly. I studied his face from this dangerous closeness. His breath. His scent. He was distracting enough to make me forget the dog. “I bet he just wanted to play with you.”

Michelle POV I watched as this Adonis, Greek God of a man, got down on all fours. His dirty blonde hair spread across his entire body as his face started to shift. Once fully transformed, his body was definitely that of a wolf, but his colouring resembled a Labrador. He instantly starts wagging his tail and comes up to me, trying to be non-threatening. I start strongly patting him, and he makes happy puppy noises. I can’t help myself at this point. I go in for a full hug, and he gets up to join me on the couch.

Under the moonlight, the dog sprinted down the street with the arm, startling a couple and turning their faces ghostly white with fear. "Did you see what that dog’s got? Looks like a human arm?" the woman exclaimed, her voice shaking as if she had seen a ghost. "It's probably just a plastic mannequin the dog's messed up. Don't worry, it's nothing to fuss over," the man said, trying to calm his girlfriend even though he knew it was a real arm. The dog did not stop until it reached another street and made a beeline for a trash can. Beside the trash can sat a man draped in a cloak with long hair and a pale face. It was Thiago.

Something still felt off with her today I couldn’t figure it out. Then I spotted something across the street—a tricolor street dog with fuzzy black, white, and brown fur. One blue eye, one brown, both staring straight at us. Suddenly, he howled, a deep, aching sound and bolted toward us.

His tongue was out, and his eyes were full of excitement. My wolf tilted her head to the side, slightly amused at him. I still didn’t understand how Theo was so different from his wolf. The human was cold and distant. While golden retriever energy was the order of the day for his wolf. As he stood there, panting and being all cute, my wolf did the thing that shocked me to my core. She stepped closer to him and started to lick his face. I facepalmed myself. “What on earth are you doing?” I asked her, appalled.

I couldn’t help it, a deep, heavy sigh escaped from my lips, and I lowered my head slightly. He cleared his throat firmly, almost like a small nudge to snap me out of my thoughts. “Don’t be sad anymore. Even if you’re sick right now, you’re not alone.” That was when I lifted my head and turned to face him, meeting his gaze. “You... are right… my beloved dog, may no longer be with me... but someone else has taken his place.” A genuine smile formed on my lips, slowly stretching wider. “And that someone... is a wolf named Bruno.”

Slowly backing away from him when he got a little too close, I tugged a half-smile as I tilted my head up to stare at him. His brown hair was dancing with the wind, and he was beaming at me as if he knew who I was. The sunlight struck his face that made his hazel eyes lighter, as he plastered a grimace while gazing down at me. I took another gulp, but this time, I decided to speak up. “Hey,” I uttered, filling the awkward silence that consumed us for a bit. “Hey, I’m sorry for my dog. She’s just used to smelling random people in the park whenever we go out,” he responded, rubbing his dog’s neck with his large hand. His voice was deep and a bit croaky which sounded so fine.

Even if Micheal had rushed after him to give him support as his Beta, Micheal was seriously wounded and his mate was now with him and tending to his wound. He changed back to his human form and took the shorts that the doctor handed to him and nodded his head in consent for her to get his wound treated. This creature has a thick fur. Its teeth is also sharp. It looks like...a damn...wolf? "Stop!" I shouted and almost cried when it slowly went near me but it stop when some wolf also came in! But the most shocking part is...a dead body of a man is in its...sharp mouth. Mercilessly eating the human's body!

"Put the gun away and back off." He doesn't move, so this time, I take him by the arm, easing him backwards. The pitch is low. Whatever's producing the sound is big. As we retreat a few steps, the owner of the sound emerges. And he's a whopper. Black, with ginger face markings and eyebrows, this dog could be cast as 'Hellhound of the Year'. A Rottweiler, he crouches, body hanging low, ears laid flat back. His eyes are white-rimmed and his lips pulled back to display ranks of pristine teeth.
