The dog ran towards me, bobbing on his feet and hopped onto my lap and gave a friendly bark and I chuckled and scratched behind his ear. "Here boy," Ossey called and the dog whimpered then trotted away. I puckered my lips and whistled before he vanished. Well, it was a less than impressive attempt at whistling but it seemed to get the Dalmatian's attention. He came back with his tail wagging behind him and I reached down and scratched his ear again with a smile. "You can whistle?" Ossey asks shocked, "most women don't know how to." I looked up at him still scratching the cute little doggy's head.

Dylan's widened eyes went from Theo who blinked like he had just found out their deepest secret, to the husky, then to Theo again, and then back to the husky. No freaking way. "Dylan, calm down, let's not draw anymore attention and I'll... I'll explain." Dylan blinked confusedly. "Oh, you sure do have a lot of explaining to do, you have a dog?! A Siberian husky to be exact and you never once brought it up?!"

Then, others in the group started pushing back at Dolly. "Dolly Jones, what are you so proud of? You’re nothing but Evelyn’s lapdog." Dolly shot back, "Only a dog sees everyone else as a dog. You’re the dog. Your whole family’s a pack of mutts." "Why isn’t Evelyn speaking up? Why are you the only one barking here?" Dolly replied, "Her silence doesn’t change the fact that you’re a dog. You’re Julian Moore and Chloe Clarke’s mutt." "You’re the real dog here. I bet you got plenty of perks from Evelyn, didn’t you?"

Dolly questions, holding up one finger making everyone laugh a little, as she blushes. “I have three, Alpha Osric is our other mate. He is at home with Raven taking care of her and our pups, do you have any family at your camp?” I hope there isn’t another child there being neglected like she is. “Just me,” Dolly points to herself, making us nod, relieved she found us and we didn’t have to rescue more. “I like littles, how many you gots?” She giggles, watching Jonathan come over with the meat cut up on a plate.

This time Alexander curiosity was finally piqued as he raised his eyebrows and both of them gave Ash questioning looks. "So what's the full note all about, Ash?" "First off, a Donna is a title. And then I found the word, bold and clear, right there in the title. Doll. I looked up at him. He was watching me, his expression unreadable, but there was something in his eyes that hadn’t been there before. Something that looked like satisfaction. “I want you to be my Doll,” he said. Mia made a sound behind me, a sharp intake of breath, but I didn’t turn around. I couldn’t. I was standing in my doorway, holding a contract that said I was his, and the man who’d been following me for two weeks was waiting for me to sign it.

But all is fine now. So long as she is fine, I don’t care about the rest. Everyone is staring at her, and her watery eyes nail on me, like a wronged little animal. I can’t say no to these eyes. “Are--” Dahlia says only one word before water brimmed her huge deer eyes with visible speed. It amazes me how much she can cry, really. On one corner, there is a brown cocker spaniel shyly wagging its tail, the dog is lying on a small bed and it’s surrounded by tiny puppies, they must be just a few days old. “I see you found Daisy,” Agatha says behind me. I sit on the floor and Daisy wags her tale a little more, I pat her gently on the back and she closes her eyes. “Good girl,” I whisper. “Oh, no. She has been very naughty! She escaped a few months ago, can you imagine? I couldn’t sleep for three days I was so worried for her! Luckily, Romano’s men found her, but she was already pregnant! And now we are stocked with these puppies that are half cocker spaniel half who-knows-what!” Agatha explains to me.
